Its good but rather over the top

Warning: Spoilers
Someone pointed out on the YouTube comments which is where I watched the series, that every anime characters legs were definitely long. It was kinda funny to think the animators not giving a toss if none of them were going to be of short height. Anyways lets continue talking about what I think about this anime.

In all fairness despite the legs being long or not, the story seemed good as well as Hikari and Keis blossoming romance. However towards the end, I thought it was very over the top and just ridculous. Hikari was suppose to be grabbing something by jumping off of Big Ben, then Kei comes to the rescue and when they both kissed, they like jumped back onto Big Ben? Like c'mon, anyone would be dead if they did something stupid like that for real. I know this is an anime but like it was just so dumb and pure extreme that it just didn't make sense here lol!

Okish anime but that scene just made me rather confused lol so I'm giving this a 7/10!

Pretty good, just wish there would be more romance
Trixie_reviews3 November 2018
I really liked this anime, except for one thing; the romance between the main characters was developing too slow. I mean, how blind was Hikari to all of the signs Kei liked her and then realizing she likes him too? Unfortunately, this thickheadedness & ignorance seems to be a disease in most high-school animes, which is pretty annoying. I mean, the chse is fun and all, but not when you spread it over 24 episodes. I wish there would be more romance animes that would show the life of protagonists after they become a couple and make their love grow while facing different challenges. Other than that, I quite liked this one and would still recommend it, and the ending is decent. Kei and Hikari have a good chemistry. The supporting characters were also ery likable and pretty decently developed. In the end, I do recommend S.A.

amazing balance between dramatic romance & comedy!

For anybody who have read manga "Last Game" by Amano Shinobu, after find out how amazing that manga was, and when they try to search other manga that have the same story & style, they will find this one, "Special A" by Maki Minami. For your information, this is not the first manga that have the same theme, unrequited love between a long time childhood friend. There is another manga named "His and Her Circumstances" by Masami Tsuda in 1996 that slightly have the same theme. I expect nothing from this anime, but it turns out to be too funny and a lot of unpredictable situation happen, even its also make me cry a lot with its drama. All character in this anime is sweet and adorable, each of them have their own past and back story that's so interesting. I could say that this anime's genre is fiction love. Anybody who want laugh and cry in the same time, this gem is highly recommended!

A Great Start

At first glance you may recognize some features from the popular 2006 hit, Ouran High School Host Club. The ultra elite school, the ultra elite club within the school, the characters who can't express their feelings, etcetera. But don't think I'm criticizing the show. Though similar (everything has been done before so with every show you'll see resemblance to another) it has many unique qualities. The balance between romance and comedy is something you don't see too often in what shows claim to dub themselves "romantic comedies." Right from the start of episode one you're given a heat-felt moment AND some good laughs. I won't give this show a perfect score yet seeing as how there's only been 2 episodes aired, but I believe it's on the right track so I stick to my solid 9 for a score. I can't wait to see the rest of this season unfold as the manga is quite enjoyable.

So underrated! 10/10

I hate that Special A is so underrated, it's amazing! It's funny, it's smart and there are so many layers to the story. It's far better than Maid-sama people always compared it to (that's been crowned a classic by the community ignoring SA). I've rewatched it several times since 2010 and Yahiro still has a grasp on my heart.

I recommend it so much!

It has many comedy, when I am watching this,I laughed very hard. But It has only few romantic moments. This anime's last episode is best. So,watch this when you feel sad and depressed, you will feel very happy and joyful . And make it popular. 👌👌🤗🤗😁😁😊😊😙

Warning: Spoilers
I loved the anime and manga so much. This anime never get old. I'm addicted to this series and watched it many times. I give it 10/10 because the story, and characters are beautiful. Also, I loved the mc of this series especially, kei being in loved to Hikari for almost 10 years isn't a joke. I remember he's line in manga where he said "there will never be a time when my heart gets tired of you, Hikari". I hope they will continue this series. I recommend this anime and manga to those want to have fun, and in love for shoujo. This anime will make you want more episodes and will have special place in your heart. I still can't believe this anime is underrated but so good. 🤧💕
