- A recorded song is said to have an occult part in which only certain people can hear a scream. The song turns on by itself when a man is driving alone in his car at night on a deserted road and he hears a scream.
- Throughout the movie a giant comet is seen in the sky and news reports count down the hours until it hits earth. Descriptions of the destruction and tidal waves that will result are also heard.
- A man discovers a rape in progress and must decide if he should intervene.
