It's a stop-motion film of various toy cars engaging in a race amongst the dolls and dollhouses.

Its director, Arthur Melbourne Cooper, was an early pioneer in stop-motion movies. Indeed, he is sometimes credited (incorrectly) as the first creator of animated movies. His movie production began in 1897, and he continued to turn them out, including a couple of early features, through 1913. His BELLES OF KILLARNEY came out in 1907, beating Disney's claim of "First animated feature" by three decades. He died in 1961 at age 87.

This particular short is a lively and often hilarious short subject.
