expression of love
Kirpianuscus4 April 2023
I loved the idea. Simple, realistic, kind poetic And well used in a story about a form of immortality.

A venerable man and his profound attachment about his late wife.

A clock, the visit of a young woman, a cup of tea, a blue dress, a letter.

And, after a cry, some time of happiness. Nothing real complicated but beautiful in creepy manner.

The construction of story is seductive. Like the acting, John Harry Richardson offering a great portrait of lonely old man .

In same measure, the cultural references are a great nice ingredient.

In short, just a beautiful film. Off course, a horror one but, in same measure, touching eulogy of love.
