The Osbournes may be coming back to TV -- but at a different cable channel this time. VH1 is deep in talks with the celebrity family to revive the decade-old docu-soap series, which ran on sister channel MTV for three seasons starting in 2002. The Talk co-host and Osbourne matriarch Sharon Osbourne announced on Tuesday the format would return for six or eight episodes, but she did not specify a network. If the deal comes together, the reboot would re-team rocker dad Ozzy and Sharon, plus their kids Jack (Jack Osbourne: Adrenaline Junkie) and Kelly (Dancing With the Stars), both of...

Television networks are not exactly the most patient of beasts: if a show isn’t working, they have absolutely no hesitation in ripping it from the airwaves before it costs them any more money that it already has. And yes, there’s a negative side to that: how many fantastic shows have we lost just because their networks didn’t give them enough time to find their audience and cultivate a dedicated fan base? Too many.
Regardless, the plain fact of the matter is that we have been saved from experiencing so many terrible shows, because of the brave networks quickly and painlessly excising shows from their lineup before they can hurt anyone again. Some shows are so bad they don’t make it beyond their first season, but the real crimes against the television-viewing public are caught within a few episodes of their premiere, or before they’re even aired.

The future of The Osbournes' new reality TV show has been thrown into jeopardy after its troublesome U.S. debut on Tuesday (01Apr) night - the programme doesn't have another scheduled air date.
The show, which comes seven years after the family first shot to TV fame, sees the Osbournes take on the variety format, and contains the foul-mouthed rants and expletives which became the family's trademark.
But the Osbournes: Reloaded faced contention even before it hit the airwaves - when bosses at Fox network's Florida affiliate Wpgx refused to screen the programme, insisting it was too lewd for viewers.
And it seems other local American broadcasters followed suit, with 11 per cent of U.S. viewers unable to catch the show's debut after network bosses vetoed the racy programme.
Bosses at Milwaukee Fox affiliate Witi-tv were hesitant about screening the show straight after family-friendly American Idol, and chose to air the Osbournes: Reloaded at 1 a.m. (Cdt) the following day (Wed02Apr09).
But officials at Fox headquarters can't understand the furore surrounding the episode - insisting it went through all the necessary industry checks.
A rep for Fox tells WENN, "Osbournes: Reloaded was thoroughly vetted by our Standards and Practices department to ensure it was appropriate for broadcast during the scheduled time period.
"If any network affiliate feels the programming may be inappropriate for its individual market, however, it has the right to preempt the program."
Despite the negative press, the rock n' roll clan can still celebrate - Osbournes: Reloaded pulled in an average of 9.3 million viewers.
A spokesperson for the Osbourne family refused to comment.

Kelly Osbourne and her fiance Luke Worrall headed down to Miami this week for a little fun in the sun and some romantic alone time. Fox's neo-variety show "Osbournes: Reloaded" opened to a solid number Tuesday, ranking as the evening's second-highest-rated program despite some stations refusing to air the telecast. The "Osbournes" premiere (9.3 million viewers, 4.1 preliminary adults 18-49 rating) ran after an expanded "American Idol" (23.4 million, 8.4), but was reduced by the network from an hour to 35 minutes.
About 16 stations reportedly pre-empted the show and, according to Fox, roughly 11% of the country could not watch the program during primetime hours (some stations opted to air "Osbournes" in late night). Full story...

The Osbournes' new reality TV show has been banned by a Florida community, after local network bosses ruled it was too lewd for viewers.
Seven years after they launched the reality TV craze, the foul-mouthed rock clan are back with a new variety show, Osbournes: Reloaded - which will premiere on Tuesday night across the U.S., except for Panama City, Florida.
Bosses at Fox network affiliate Wpgx are refusing to screen the programme and will replace it with episodes of The Simpsons instead.
Wpgx general manager David Cavileer tells local reporters, "I just felt it was not keeping with community standards. This show in my market does not serve my public in Panama City. I did not feel it was appropriate."...

The Osbournes are ready to tear apart the television waves yet again, but not everybody is excited to see them return to TV. In fact, a Fox affiliate station is going one step further by refusing to air their new variety show on the network. The head of Panama City, Florida Fox affiliate Wpgx says he watched a six-minute preview of Osbournes: Reloaded and felt uncomfortable watching. As of now, the show is set to debut Tuesday at 8:20 Pm. The strange time was picked to keep viewers of top-rated American Idol watching the show. Sounds like...

On March 31, variety show by the Osbournes family will premiere on Fox right after the performance night of "American Idol". As a promo for the new show called "Osbournes: Reloaded", Fox have clipped a scene called "The Hells" which is a parody to MTV reality show "The Hills".
In the scene Lauren Conrad has made a cameo as herself, talking to Sharon Osbourne who is dressed as Lo Bosworth, Lauren's roommate and childhood friend from "Laguna Beach". They are dining at Geisha house, waiting for Audrina Patridge, who is played by Ozzy Osbourne in drag.
Apart from sketches, the dysfunctional family will also play pranks, go undercover, have musical performance, and travel across the U.S. to meet the other Osbournes.

March 31 will see the return of the vivacious Osbourne clan on Fox. Osbournes: Reloaded will feature matriarch and manager Sharon Osbourne, papa Ozzy, Jack and Kelly as they reconvene on smallscreen to throw all kinds of curve balls, family variety-style. The family had a breakout smash hit on MTV that was a fly-on-the-wall peek of their daily lives, and the success of their show spawned celebrity family show knock-offs galore, none of which have lived up to the unpredictability and fun of The Osbournes. Osbournes: Reloaded premieres on Tuesday, March 31st, immediately following a special expanded edition of American Idol. Osbournes: Reloaded will be on from 9:20 to 10:00 p.m. eastern/pacific time. Have you missed the Osbournes? If yes, then break out the earmuffs because the family is making its television comeback.
Instead of just witnessing the dysfunction like we did on MTV's The Osbournes, Osbournes: Reloaded (premieres Tuesday, 9:20 pm/Et, Fox), the new show from the first family of rock (or, as Kelly puts it, "the first family of being f---ed up"), takes on a classic family-television format: the variety show.
It's fair to point out that the Osbournes are no Osmonds. But just don't point it out to matriarch Sharon Osbourne. One unlucky journalist recently experienced the proud mother and wife's wrath when she asked during a conference call if ...

Sharon Osbourne found herself in some legal trouble recently after she physically attacked a woman on television - but that doesn't seem to have helped her learn any lessons about keeping her temper in check. While Osbourne did refrain from throwing punches, she did not refrain from going off on a reporter who made the mistake of asking her about her family's drug addictions. Apparently, the only people that are allowed to blabber on about the Osbournes' drug addictions are the Osbournes themselves. During a press conference call, in which Sharon Osbourne was promoting her family's new show "Osbournes: Reloaded," she was asked if she thou ...

Sharon Osbourne has defended her family's decision to appear in another reality show. The former X Factor judge admitted that Osbournes: Reloaded will not focus entirely on their recent problems but insisted that they will not be ignored. Sharon Osbourne launched a blistering tirade against a reporter who questioned whether her superstar family is suitable to host a new TV variety show.
Osbourne, Black Sabbath star Ozzy and their children Kelly, 24, and Jack, 23, are returning to U.S. TV screens following their wildly popular reality series The Osbournes to front the upcoming Osbournes Reloaded.
But their small screen comeback was dealt a blow after Osbourne flew into a rage during a telephone conference call on Thursday.
A journalist asked Osbourne if she believed it was appropriate for her clan, which has struggled to overcome substance abuse problems, to host a family variety programme, which prompted the rock matriarch to defend her loved ones in an angry rant.
She responded, "That must be the most ridiculous question I have ever been asked in my entire career. I'm really angry. Do you know how many people in this country alone suffer from addiction? This is a terrible epidemic that covers every race. It doesn't matter if you're rich or poor, black or white. It's an epidemic of drugs and alcohol in this country. Okay? And all my family are examples of being truthful about their condition and working through it and trying to better themselves as human beings.
"You know that we have been so open about our lives. My husband has struggled with addiction his entire life. And my son has been clean and sober for six years and lives a very, very strict AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) lifestyle. And, so if anything he is a beacon of hope to any young person in this country who is struggling with addiction.
"So when you talk about family, we are family and we are a real family. I've taken real offence, because you know why? We're real people. And probably half of the people watching our show, they have someone in their family who has a problem with alcohol and drugs."
Kelly recently completed a second stint of rehab to treat an addiction to painkillers, while Jack and rocker Ozzy have also battled drug and drink demons.

Fox has set a premiere date for the new variety series "Osbournes: Reloaded." Or, rather, Fox has set an air date for a single installment of "Osbournes: Reloaded," which isn't exactly the same thing. The first hour of "Osbournes: Reloaded" will air on Tuesday, March 31 after an episode of "American Idol." Shot largely before a audience, "Osbournes: Reloaded" marks the return of what was briefly America's favorite wacky metal family, at least before audiences got sick of their MTV show. Ozzy, Sharon, Jack and Kelly do stunts, gags and performances that Fox insists are "guaranteed to rock the house."...

"American Idol" fans, get ready for makeout sessions with grandma.
Fox has set a premiere date for its Osbourne family show, giving the project a lead-in from "Idol."
"Osbournes: Reloaded" will debut Tuesday, March 31. The show will take the spot of "Fringe" for a one-time airing, then run as a series of one-hour specials later in the season.
The move suggests the network may want to gauge reaction to the program before committing a regular spot, or that it simply that Fox wants the show to benefit one time from heavy "Idol" sampling.
"Osbournes" was original billed as a variety show, though Fox considers it more of an unscripted comedy. The show will feature audience interaction such as betting somebody to kiss a stranger and off-stage segments like Osbourne family members working a fast food drive-thru.

Fox have released the first look at what to expect from The Osbournes' upcoming reality series, "Osbournes: Reloaded". In a nearly three-minute video preview, the new show starred by Ozzy Osbourne's outrageous family has been described as a new kind of comedy show like no one has ever seen before.
The preview promises that in "Osbournes: Reloaded", Ozzy, his wife Sharon Osbourne and kids, Kelly Osbourne and Jack Osbourne, will go undercover, play with the audience and have musical performance on the stage among other things. The family will also travel across the U.S. to meet the other Osbournes.
"It is family viewing. We might have a few old age pensioners being kissed, and stripping grandmas, but it is all good clean fun. There is nothing mean-spirited about it," president of alternative entertainment for Fox Mike Darnell said previously of the new series. "We are letting them go as far as they can.

Pamela Anderson shocked a studio audience watching The Osbournes record their television show, by flashing her breasts to the assembled crowd.
The Baywatch beauty was filming a guest slot for upcoming variety show Osbournes: Reloaded on Wednesday, hosted by Sharon and Ozzy, daughter Kelly and her younger brother Jack.
And in the skit, Guess The Guest, Anderson's famous boobs spilled out over the top of her dress.
An eyewitness says, "The Osbournes blindfold themselves and ask the guest questions to guess who they are. Pam was sprawled on the stage, but when she got up, the top half of her dress completely flopped forward exposing everything."
But the blindfolded Osbourne's missed catching a glimpse of the star's huge chest: "They heard it all and were very confused. It was very funny."
The blooper is set to be aired on the show at a later date, but Anderson's representative is downplaying the flashing: "I know that Pam had some issues with the zipper on the back of her dress. But as far as I saw, she remained properly covered and nothing was revealed to the audience."...
