Why couldn't she just set aside the verdict?? Warning: Spoilers
I don't understand why she couldn't just let the jury come back and then set aside the verdict if it had been guilty. Then this issue would have been moot. This had nothing to do with Lola's fear that they'd come back guilty. Everyone's blaming her but both attorneys agreed to a plea deal....this should be on all of them. And just use masks with clear inserts already. This on again off again some with some without is just ridiculous by this point. On another topic, since when did Mark and Amy develop such green thumbs? Their new place is overflowing with plants?? Two busy attorneys somehow have time to tend to them???

Warning: Spoilers
I don't like shows incorporating COVID into things, but I guess that is just a small piece of the puzzle here. A solid episode, but I just think the show is losing its focus on good cases to pursue social justice.

Courtroom lawyer questioning and masks
smr2735 January 2021
I really liked this show. But this episode just annoyed me. Prosecutor got away with leading questions and misrepresentations that the defense didn't challenge. Obnoxious juror is too obnoxious.

And if you are going concède pandemic is going on, then pls use masks consistently. Emily goes to client's house without a mask, while everyone, including Lola's mom and a little boy, is wearing one? Emily doesn't even have one in her hand. Walking into courtroom for case Emily has on mask (while not wearing in lobby) and Sara walks in without a mask while Sherri begs them to use sanitizer (no mention of mask). Come on, model it or don't do it all

Maybe the staff of color who left in protest due to how they were treated were keeping this show on point? They are missed (and really African American lead, diverse cast, and the show runners/leaders treats the staff poorly?)
