Yes the first two episodes were weak and cliché. However, this episode gave me hope because it wasn't as boring as the first two ones. The show is not bad but not original either. It still has a long way for being considered as a good one ,but still it is improving. The relationships between characters are becoming deeper and better. I think that this show will be considered as one of those shows which don't make a solid start ,but as it continues becomes funny and enjoyable.

Carlock & Fey do a massive u-turn
gareth-7544216 January 2021
So it would seem between episode 1 & 2 writers/creators Robert Carlock & Tina Fey watched the 1st 4 seasons of Superstore & decided to just paste & copy, characters have literally been turned on their heads & display characteristics totally opposite from the pilot episode, the stuck up "better than everyone else" diverse characters played by Vella Lovell & Mike Cabellon now act like complete air head morons, don't get me wrong episode 2 & 3 are an improvement on the pilot episode but
It's now nothing more than a poor carbon copy of shows that are already popular, nothing new nothing creative.
Chrissy Teigan was the surprise standout star of episode 3,if this is going to survive its 1st season the writing has got to get better, maybe Carlock & Fey will binge watch the complete "Friends" box sets & learn a few things about situation comedy before they write episode 4.

Brentwood Trash
Prismark1019 August 2022
The Mayor goes to a meeting to debate a new recycling centre in upmarket and fashionable Brentwood.
The locals would prefer the thrash being sent to more unsavoury parts of LA.
Meanwhile the press has noticed that the Mayor is recycling his speeches so a new scriptwriter is sought.
The joke in the episode being that real life celebrities such as David Spade and Andie McDowell show up at the meeting.
It raised a chuckle or two and if it was not for the stunt casting, this would had been below average.
