On June 4th 1999, a 911 call leads Washington, DC Police to the home of high profile, anti-crime activist, Dennis Dolinger. Once inside, they follow a trail of blood to the basement where they find the 51 year old's body butchered beyond recognition, along with a bloody $20 bill and a bag of crack cocaine.

On New Year's Eve 1991, 45-year-old Catherine Carroll is stabbed 53 times and dies on the bathroom floor. Her 19-year-old son, Greg Parsons, discovers the grizzly scene and charged with murder.
