As more and more independents try their hand at short film, the gap between commonplace and unique gets wider. Its wonderful to come across a fresh take on a subject, and in the case of SpyforLove, its the fun world of dating. If you're a fan of acerbic wit (thanks to Miss Certa's) well written dialogue, and enjoy spoofing spy movies, then grab your popcorn and give this a whirl. I had the unique pleasure of catching SpyforLove at the Action On Film festival in Pasadena this year and it left me wanting more. Afterwards, Carrie Certa (writer/producer/director) expounded on the elements that came straight from her own comedic dating experiences. SpyforLove is hopefully only the first Certa effort in a long line of hits to come.
