Mickey continues his search for Jerry's magic bullet with him and his team following up multiple possibilities. The dynamic between him and Elliott is fabulous and Christopher Gorham puts in an excellent emotional performance.

The dynamic of Mickey using Izzy as a sounding board in the car works surprisingly well and is in no way clunky, it has no right to.

I like that little bits and pieces are falling into place now. The deadline is really tight and the client has not been forthcoming. A nice relationship is developing in the car and I like that because it's like a narration. The episode ends dramatically, but now the puzzle pieces are there to join together. Especially a connection between that non-responsive guy he is supposed to defend. This is a good show and it just took some time to get it going.

It was what bosch used to be in season 1 and 2 i think.. moving along with lots pieces falling into place as the episodes go on.

I read pretty much all the main books by Michael Connely.. michey haller and the reporter dude dont have too many books like Bosch with over 20.. I dont remember the cases anymore which is good..

but so far, the pacing is fine.. him talking to the driver that he saved from prison.. in the books it was a guy.. anyway, it works well.. and the relationship between the exes is pretty much spot on.. he whines about them and just observe while they move on romantically while he is stuck thinking about the past, specially with the mother of his kid..

going back to the cases, good stuff.

Another strong episode of this well-written and engaging show - I don't understand the low ratings it gets here.

The Trevor Elliott case is still tough sledding for Mickey Haller and his excellently quirky cast of allies, including his second ex-wife. His case of the episode - well, there's actually two - involves an American who wishes she was in Europe, and apparently is big on European swimming practices, aka going topless. Haller gets her off with a very clever defence. The second case is a bit more confusing: jaded vet takes potshots at cops, but there is more to it than meets the eye, and Mickey is starting to look into connections between it and the Elliott case.

Side note: I really love the repartee Haller has with the judges. Manuel Garcia-Rulfo has been so well-cast.
