First of all, whenever I go to watch any Anjan Dutt film, some common elements keep revealing in my mind, I am habituated and well- adapted....like smart conversations, mind-boggling scenic beauty, some bong-calcuttans, more focusing on the topic sometimes ignoring detais, nice musics, natural acting and an unique cinematography.......all of these are surely present in this venture also....
Four young friends frustrated with their before-going lives initiate on a tour-company business that will give, as far as their concept, a homely atmosphere..So, in their 4-5 days venture with the tourists and a young attractive stranger, the story moves on..... As far as the acting is concerned, Sashwata Chatterjee steals the show having a unique piece of performance..specially in that "Amazing Grace" sequence...Rudranil gives another magnificent job...as well as Parambrata...their ar just marvellous...Ritwick is good, though his character is not seriously highlighted than the other three..also i like to mention performances of some notable actors like Barun Chanda, Churni and Arindam.....they are awesome.... The pivotal element is the fact that the film is a nice blending of small screen and film industry....actors of day-to-day bengali TV-soaps play some important contribution in that film.... But the film still lacks some minor detals specially in the sudden turn-over of the characters in the flash-back mood and the repeatation of some not-so-important sequences.....though i think that is just a minor fault....the film has a beautiful climax....with nice sound-track from composer Neel Dutt through the entire film.....some exhilarating North Bengal beauty and mostly some natural comedy that was once found at the "gold mine" of old bengali jewels.....and a re-touch of the Satyajit Ray spirit..The reason? you will surely realize if you see this film...
In a nutshell, a must watchable film if you are a serious Indian film-fanatic.......
