This mid-season finale in my opinion it's one of the best ones! I love that we thought that varchie was going to be together again but no... i think chad & Veronica have more chemistry than varchie not gonna lie.. it's still weird but it's totally better then season 3... see you in JULY 7th my friends...

What truly made me lol, was the sound of archie's punches during the high school fight. Did they really think they were gonna get away with that? Truly hilarious.
Also cheryl's family is now part of a dark magic coven or something? What's up with that. Very bored of her storyline.
I also loved how real it looked when reggie set those trees on fire. I've never seen something so realistic! Amazing!
But on a more serious note, it did pique my interest in what hyram's got planned for that area. He's not done anything interesting for a while.
And can we just get rid of chad and veronica. All they do makes me roll my eyes. Why are photos of v and archie kissing that controversial, when v and chad are seperated? It's literally nbd. And the whole helicopter thing. Get over it already!
As always, betty is the most interesting. Even though her storyline is the most cringe, it's still entertaining.
How am i still watching this show? I truly don't know. But I will keep watching it for the laughs and for the opportunity to complain about how terrible it is.
Oh and one last thing, im sort of interested in what they're bringing for kevin. It will definitely be like "oh being held at gunpoint made me realise that ...." but im still interested.
Hopefully the aliens keep jughead forever too, cause his acting is subpar.

Time to kill off Hyram. The aliens are more believable than his freedom to do what he wants all the time. There is some great characters and they are being wasted by going over the same old ground repeatedly. New writers or new ideas please!!!!!

I gave the episode 2 stars for Betty's storyline and for Tabitha, who are both carrying the show at this point.
Jughead is missing, AGAIN? I literally never saw this coming! (sarcasm) How many times has he been missing or "dead"? We all know Jughead will be found alive and well after his supposed "alien" abduction. Sigh.
How much longer do we have to watch the Veronica/Archie and Betty/Jughead dynamic? It's so so boring and toxic. There's absolutely no chemistry between these pairings anymore and I cannot understand what more can be done with them? Veronica/Archie/Hiram storyline on repeat and Betty/Jug investigating. AGAIN. And V "cheating" on Chad with Archie and then "cheating" on Archie with Chad? Veronica has SO much potential to be an amazing character but every single storyline revolves around daddy drama or a man. Please allow the core 4 to be single for a significant amount of time to heal from their prospective traumas and figure out who they are/what they want. Especially Veronica.
Please do not tell me that Tabitha will be used a plot device to get Jug and Betty back together? This was done with Toni and Jug in prior seasons and it feels like history is going to repeat itself again. Tabitha is such a refreshing addition to the show and I'd love for her to be treated better than Toni was. And if Jug is to have a romantic interest, Tabitha makes so much more sense than Betty.
It felt like there were 20 different plot lines in this episode and it was definitely a rollercoaster ride, but not in a good way.

For a Mid-season finale it was pretty boring. NOTHING happened just the same old, same old of the last 4 seasons. But,I guess that's the new "fresh and exciting" the writers/producers talked about before S5 started. Anyway, the only engaging plus interesting stuff was what transpired at the Cooper's towards the end of the episode. Other than that it was like I was watching the last 4 seasons over again. The one thing this episode really highlighted though, is how sick, toxic and twisted Veronica/Archie & Betty/Jughead are for each other. Being stuck in the past is not healthy for anyone involved.
I, for one, am glad this show is going on a long 3 month hiatus because I need it. Not gonna miss it at all.

I was actually really getting into Riverdale with the last three or so episodes.
Was finally starting to enjoy it since the actors were actually playing people their age.
But this episode is just the worst episode ever.
Terrible plot. Ridiculous graphics/cgi/sound effects.
I can't even word how horrible this episode is.
