I love you when you are kind enough to lie

A strong and emotive episode, written and performed well and with sensitivity and great humour thrown in too. A great cast and writer bring it all together. Look forward to the final episode in the series.

When is rape not rape?
ygwerin12 June 2022
DS Jane Penhaligan has been raped by the same serial rapist, but she is understandably conflicted about her own feelings and attitudes towards it, as she has counselled other victims, who have also suffered in similar circumstances, she feels a responsibility to act on it.

Dr Fitzgerald goes on the radio on a phone in programme, discussing the rapes with callers, one of whom is the actual rapist and, a protracted and heated argument ensues over the issues involved, with the bloke possibly looking, for an excuse for his later actions.

The Fitzgerald family has suddenly blossomed as, Judith and Dr Edward feel overwhelmed by this supreme change, in their personal and future family circumstances.
