Goodbye Dr Avery - Season 17 Episode 15 Rating

After 11 seasons, Dr Avery leaves the series pursuing a greater mission to ensure equality amongst the different human races in the field of medicine.

This is the 2nd best exit after Christina Yang (ofc). It was also good to bring his father back again along with April AND to tease a potential new spin-off (or it's just a rumour)

9,2/10.

There are at least 12 people I'd rather see off the show that Greg Germann. I hope another show snaps him up soon.

Owen & Teddy again? Must we?

I thought we were done with Jackson after last week. --sigh-- At least we didn't have to deal with April again.

Meredith ditching her clap-out. What a jerk.

Yay for Helm getting her own story!

Was this a backdoor pilot for a First Nations-centered medical drama. That would be awesome!

Wonderful Send Off

What a wonderful send off for Jackson. I am forever an April and Jackson fan - so I have high hopes they will rekindle their romance in Boston. I will miss both of them together - because Jackson was 1000% a better man with her.

As for Tom?

Nooo!!!! Please don't let this be the last time I get to see him. I have loved his character since the beginning - I smile Every time I see him and he's wonderfully written. I actually preferred him and Teddy together as well - so this is just overall very sad if he will no longer be on the show.

They are losing almost EVERYONE. I heard Ellen Pompeo is only coming back for half of season 19... they are going to need to really introduce some great new characters to keep this show going.

I know Harry Shum Jr. Is joining the cast which is the main reason I picked up watching the show again. Crossing fingers!

FINALLY! Long overdue!

FINALLY - more indigenous people being included on mainstream tv and in a positive way! They should also have various indigenous/ First Nations on the regular long term medical staff characters of the show art all levels of medical staff as great role models and for future generations of children, teens, and adults to see the show and see people of their culture and lineage represented in positive ways. Show people in real life how that could be and how that change in real life should be more inclusive and respectful of indigenous/ First Nations people while breaking negative stereotypes!!!!

I love Greg Germann, he's kept me involved in Grey's Anatomy. I wasn't too worried about Jackson but Tom's witty one liners, I even thought he was a better fit to Teddy than Owen. He made Ally McBeal too.

Everything gets more and more boring, but Jackson's farewell literally shattered my soul. Meredith is back and ready for the season finale, although I wish it was the series finale ...

Jackson's Legacy

This Episode begins with Jackson, he returned at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. Meredith is doing some airway tests, her longue capacity is back to 50%. Meredith may leave her hospital bed soon. Teddy and Owen have sex with each other. Jackson tells Bailey that he will resign at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. Jackson tells Meredith that he will leave to Boston. Mary Ann gave birth to her daughter Rosie. Bailey and Richard tell Meredith that Andrew past away, but she already knew. Meredith has been brought to her house, Jackson was the driver. Meredith got reunited with her kids Zola, Bailey and Ellis. Tom wants to go to Boston with Jackson. Nice Episode of Grey's Anatomy Season 17, emotional Episode. Jackson says goodbye and Meredith recovered from covid!

Another terrible episode

Hmmm so when Tom says he wants to work for Avery when he goes to Boston at the end of the show, two lines stuck out to me. "People who look like me made it this way", referring to how white people have ruined this world. The other line Tom said was "I will help you understand how ignorant white people think", that is self explanatory. I wonder if these two statements were directed at any other race how the world would react. Nice on Shonda showing your true colors.

Native Americans are wiser and more special than the rest of us. At least on several tv shows this season. We can't they be portrayed as real people, with good and not so good traits?

At least Jackson is done. His character has gone stale over the years.

Unfortunately we saw Greg Germann's character written off also. His wit and sparkle always added some needed energy.
