Wexford struggles to find any information about Rhoda Comfrey, nobody seems to know who she was, where she lived, anything about her, how is it possible for someone to live off the radar.
This is a wonderfully conceived episode, to my mind, the best of the Wexford episodes, and books.
There is a hilarious segment featuring Lesley Joseph, pre Birds of a Feather, where she actually plays a character very similar to Dorian.
I criticise some of the Wexford episodes for being a little slow, this one is anything but, so much going on, so many interesting moments. Sylvia Sims is a joy throughout.
