Could be a lot better

Every good plot today is ruined by irrelevant men-hatred.

Instead of showing their real sins - their sins against non-white people, the Americans of this series cover it up with fake feminism.

That's how a series that have a great cinematography and should express a really important criticism is drown in the exact boring messages like everything we see on screens in the recent years. Moreover it returns to the exact shallow hatred and fear of the male sex that we really got tierd of.

While they could have done something truly innovative, something with meaning, they remained on the same level as any other television piece just to mask the real crimes of their nation and they also have the audesity to call it the green veil... What they forget is that the great series of our times were really subversive, different and deep and the men who were their heroes were complex and with many sides, even when they were anti-heroes.

In other words, an unfulfilled promise that starts well and loses it to the battered clichés that are everywhere today. Such a shame.

Excellent

I totally disagree with the other person who gave this TV series a bad review. I actually like that it's only like 30 minutes because it makes me can't wait for the next episode to come out. I think John Leguizemo deserves an Emmy for his acting. I have never hated a male character so much on TV like I do with him lol, which means he did his job and did it well. I love the storyline. I can't wait to see what happens on the next episode that I watch and so far I've watched four episodes. I have the Network channel, which I hope takes off really good and hope they add a whole bunch more of good TV shows and movies. I am telling all my family members and friends about this TV series and how great it is and to subscribe and get the Network channel.

Brilliant, refreshing and relatable

We all know Indians went thru much worse then this. What emphasizes the point is the irony of the story. The gender status imbalance just makes it even more relatable and brings out the injustice.

I am sure this will soon have a much better review section.

The score it deserves should be a lot higher than what it is right now thanks to only 3 reviews in total. Right now it is at 6,2. Lets get it higher folks, dont let this dime go to waste.

The show is emotion triggering, hence everything is just the way it should be, I would not change one thing. From the esthetics of the after war life to its core, its hits all of the right spots.

Not much of anything here

Warning: Spoilers
Perhaps it's the 30 minute time format, but it feels empty for the most part. Once you reach the end of an episode there is no cliff hanger or reveal to keep the audience watching, or interested.

The actors are generally fine but it's the poor story that fails to generate any kind of interest. There are adductions and aliens and boot legging liquor in the trailer but these seem more like a bait and switch and aren't really given much screen time.

Writer/director/producer Aram Rappaport hasn't really had much previous success in the industry and this won't add anything to his resume. It just seems like a lot of ideas were generated and then he had to chop it down to a 30 minute show.

I watched the first 2 very slow shows, skipped ahead in the 3rd and then gave up. Adding more stuff to the story here when you haven't fleshed out anything is basically making soup with everything in the kitchen and hoping it turns out alright.

3/10 for effort. Might have been better with a 60 minute, but perhaps not. Story is all over the place trying to fill 30 different cups.

To the other reviewer on here who gave the 10/10 stars, user ksnje, an account holder for 17 years. You waited until May 14 2024 to write your first review ever, and it's this series???

Good story, bad production.
Charliesafari33322 May 2024
The only thing good about this series was a good story. Let's not confuse concept with actual writing, because the basic general concept was good and the writers ruined it. The scene play, directing, and overall writing was elementary, and gave the aesthetic of a high school senior project. The actors were constantly indicating, and generally just not convincing. The score and audio was off timing and not good selection. The narrative was too generic and very lazy. I continued to watch just to give the show the benifit of the doubt, expecting some great end, ignoring all the mistakes and stereotype cheap television errors. Realistically, the show was a good way to expose the terrible tragedy that is abuse and mistreatment of indigenous cultures, and how United States history continues to cover up these atrocities. The audio and sound selections might have genuinely ruined the movie above all else. The acting, the pathetic script, lack of proper psychological accuracy, aggressive mid-stereotyping, overall unprofessional production, Its surprising this series was even made.
