Amelia is the actual worst. They finally redeemed her character in season 16 by giving her Linc and now she has destroyed that for no reason. How can you invest in a character who can't even make things work with a perfect man who is also her child's father?

I hate to think what they will do to Maggie and Winston next season after letting them get together and married with no tension/drama/infidelity. Then there's the endless Owen and Teddy merry-go-round. They are toxic to each other, but also deserve each other.

I wish this show would just let couples be happy sometimes. How can characters be so put together in their careers and so utterly shambolic in their personal lives.

At least Jackson has left now so they can stop destroying his character with awful decision making and terrible relationships.

Part fantasy, part hope, I guess.

I watched this episode because I've watched every other one at least once. Maggie's wedding on the beach had me howling with laughter, though. April 2021 in Seattle was in the 40s and 50s F, and she's not wearing a wool coat. THAT is total fantasy! The rest is the usual ups and downs and successes and failures in life and in medicine. This past year+ of Covid has definitely soured me on endless bent knees and expensive jewelry to define relationships. Honesty and true commitment are more important, yet less in evidence.

For 16 seasons, Grey's Anatomys finales and even penultimate episodes were tough, breathtaking and generally speaking amazing even though we lost beloved characters on the go...

But this finale? NO. A big fat No. A wedding? One two three how many proposals and festivities? It's a medical series what the hell? The writers made the mistake throughout the season; they stretched a recent relationship from Mid-Late Season 16 and got them married in the "Finale You Are Going To OMG". Yes they were right. I did. And then I closed the TV.

I expect to see better in Season 18; I understand COVID-19 means a lot to the medical world and the series as well but if they decide to focus on a pandemic and forget how the rest of the show funxtions since 2005 it's bye bye from me

I have not tuned in a while but watched the episode when I saw in Philippine cable news there was gonna be a Pinay nurse featured. We overseas nurses leave our country so we can provide for our families. We are in every hospital but never seen in a medical show. Thank you finally.

Not sure if these actually happened on the same day in the story line but they did air on the same day..... Did Grey's leave out Delucas wedding with Bishop? Is Carina not a part of Greys or what???? I guess bc the shows are technically connected..... Carina is more of a character on Station 19 now, and a character on Greys when its convenient to the storyline?

Honestly i only started watching grays again to get more of the Station 19 storyline. I didn't watch greys since maybe season 4 or 5... didnt even realize it was still on air hahah Fairly good episode. But honestly... i kinda just want more Station 19, and Carina and Maya :)

Watching Gerlie on tonight's episode was so moving and long overdue. I love seeing great actors in guest star roles elevate an entire show with their presence. I hope she comes back next season.

Maggie and Winston their Wedding

This Episode begins with Meredith, she is walking at the beach. It is Meredith her first day back at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. Maggie and Winston their wedding has been cancelled. Gerlie fainted at the outside of the hospital. Link is going to foster Luna for Jo. Meredith is dizzy during surgery. Amelia, Link, Owen, Teddy, Meredith, Leo, Ellis, Zola and Bailey are celebrating christmas together. Owen asks Teddy to marry with him, she says yes. All the doctors get vaccinated with the covid vaccine. Maggie and Winston got married with each other. Jo adopted Luna. Teddy and Meredith perform Gerlie's longue transplant surgery. Link asks Amelia to marry with him, she says nothing. Solid Final Episode of Grey's Anatomy Season 17, this was the worst Final of Grey's Anatomy. It had some nice moments but this Season was just not good enough!

Great season final, with some high's and lows but something missing at the end! With Derek, being seen in a few episodes throughout the series, especially with his surprise return! You thought he might get a touching ending! In my opinion, the ending should of been; Derek on the beach looking at the sky, seeing Meredith completing the long Transplant surgery , then walking away in the sunset saying" Meredith that was a beautiful day to save a life " Split screen Derek & Meredith ( credits ) would of been more touching in my opinion! Can't wait too see what season 18 brings!!!!!

I am so sick of the non-stop Covid stories. Let it go and move on with interesting story lines. However, the other story lines were good and I hope this type of writing continues. Oh and I sure hope Hunt is finally done hopping back and forth with exes!!!

I've watched grey's since the start. I hated this episode with the all over the place timeline. This could have been one scene or 3 short scenes: Meredith's new position, the wedding, and Jo's decision about the baby. There was no reason for the rest individually or collectively. This episode could have been a mention next season opener asking "what happened during the summer". I love so many episodes, characters, plot lines, decisions, surgery and diagnosis and more. But this one was so boring I had to leave the room and come back to finish it. Such a bad, slow, unnecessary episode. Bad decisions on showrunners, writers, creators, everyone.

It had some good episodes but overall very disappointing. This series has gone downhill.

Omg, it is very clear shonda rhimes is not involved in season 17...the previous 2 seasons passed the exam, BARELY. The budget is clearly cut or the series is rushed due to covid. At times the bgm feels cheap and unnatural to the series we have grown to love for over a decade. Storyline also feels forced. The energy isn't right.

So they got sick of COVID, and decided to fast forward? Sure. But not working.

They have covered all the unfair things (race and not wearing a mask correctly and what not), but bad side effect of vaccine - not important apparently.

This has become way way too political.

If they wanted to continue the series properly and were unaware of why the following stuck around so long, maybe the writers and producers should have binge watched the first decade of the show.
