Emotional but Amateurish

I'm not sure why ratings are high. Yes, the progression builds tension and a sense of panic but this would have been much better as a story told in written form where I could use my imagination. Instead, much of the acting simply wasn't good and it was obvious that the actors were reading/memorized a script, and were coached on how to say it - particularly to go slowly. Just not very believable.

I'll add that I'm usually pretty generous with ratings on the few I've written and honestly appreciate filmmakers that do something different. They still have to execute their ideas well. This film did not.

If you enjoy experimental films, worth ONE watch

Warning: Spoilers
In my quest to watch another film, I ended up with this one. The first 15 minutes dragged out. Clearly, this one was an experimental type. So I gave it another 10 minutes and ended up watching the whole thing. Not the best I saw this year but it had its moments and some surprisingly good performances while some of the cast members struggled.

It looks like the film was designed by the filmmakers in a particular way and the cast was boxed within a tight framework. That makes it hard on the viewers as well. The script has holes too . I would still rate it as good because the story resonated well with the pandemic times we all witnessed. Not recommended if you are looking to be entertained. If you dig experimental movies rather than watch stale and overhyped movies, give this a try. It will test your patience but it evolves well.
