Just like the good ole days

This episode reminded me so much of the original CSIs with the shady and debauchery of Vegas being put on display and of course the drama. Cast has good chemistry, the storylines are interesting, and modern technology being brought into the investigations.

For Love of Hodges

Grissom and Sidle are immersed in a case involving David Hodges, who is probably being framed. Sidle has connected with the crime lab, but Grissom is still on the outside. A double murder has been committed. Two people are about to be married when they are surprised during sex and shot. Finally, a dead dog comes into play. Not a bad show, but I wish for more screen time for Petersen and Foxx.

In the beginning there is some sort of pink cloth hanging over the back of the couch next to the throw. A few scenes in when Sara arrives and and Maxine walks her through the crime scene the pink cloth is gone.

Other than that, great episode.

I can't think of a headline

Loving the OG cast better than the new ones but still good. Maxine is really growing on me- she kinda reminds me of DB where they follow the rules but also look the other way when need be. I think the writers want us to care about Folsom and Allie but honestly I don't think I've ever been less interested in a potential couple. We barely know their characters and there is no chemistry so it's hard to be invested in that relationship. But it's fun to have Hodges back and they keep mentioning Catherine so hopefully she makes an appearance at some point this season.

And just for me, I kinda wanted Hodges to end up with Wendy so that's just disappointing and I may just ignore the fact that his wife isn't her because I like my end game better. : ).

Kinky Boots

After 10 trips to Vegas, more than enough light shed on the skievier side. Still makes you wonder what goes through the mind. "Hodges" was a creature of habits, so he would be under the microscope. Has to be someone in the past he pissed off that's setting him up.

Not What It Used To Be

Sarah had psychological issues when the series ended last and now she, in her typical Foxx sing song whiny voice, is pushing her weight around and telling everybody what to do and how to do it. Gill just seems to be along for the ride. Brass has no useful part in all of this except Hodges supposedly did all of this while he was the big cheese. It will be interesting to see who is doing this, but getting there seems to be painful. I don't see this series, with its fake investigators, making a go of it. I loved the original version, but not this one. The writing and acting are very weak. Too bad, it could have been a continuation of the old series, but with up to date techniques and equipment.

So the petit murderer puts on a pair of men's size 14 shoes, steps on a rare plant seed, and her borrowed car leaks some specialized and colored transmission fluid. Then her size 14 shoe sheds a scintilla of the plant seed/pollen at the murder scene, and the CSI team runs the pollen through a computer and find one of the only places in Las Vegas that has this tree/plant pollen gowing, and they just happen upon the car that was leaking the specialized transmission fluid right near the rare plant/tree. THEN with her super (and self made) spectroscopic light, the CSI lead can see that the size 14 shoe was worn by a very small person based on the imprint it made on one of the victims. AND finds gun shot residue BETWEEN two coats of fingernail polish. Plus if you don't have the closed captions on, you miss about 5 percent of the dialog.

Sheesh!
