This is where The Hills dies and becomes just a walking dead until someone finally blasts it's proverbial head into little pieces and the body collapses to the ground. As if Lauren Conrad's departure would not have been enough to kill all interest and human touch this series had (Whitney's spinning off into The City already having weakened the shoddy foundations), some "clever" individual (or a committee - it is, after all, like they say: the more there are, the dumber they are) got the "bright" idea of replacing her with Kristin Cavallari.
There was a reason Lauren was selected as the one to get her spin-off off Laguna Beach: she had a personality, the audience liked her the most. Cavallari is a totally unsympathetic lead. To have her narrate The Hills from her "everyone else is beneath me" perspective makes this series almost repulsive to watch. What the frak where They thinking? Oh, silly me - They have *never* been thinking while making this series. They have always treated the audience like idiots. And they will continue as long as the audience lets them by watching this kind of series and it's possibly endless spin-offs. The reviewer's responsibility is to warn the potential viewers like this: DO NOT WATCH THIS CRAP.
