How is it that a prisoner could escape . . .

. . . a maximum security ISLAND penitentiary similar to San Francisco Bay's Alcatraz via a motor vehicle--specifically, the jail's laundry cart, at the beginning of UP AND ATOM? Were the inscrutable makers of this film trying to louse up young viewers' understanding of exactly what an island is? Is the lack of a credited script editor or continuity person here responsible for this fiasco? Can anyone explain WHY children's animation is not subject to recalls, like contaminated baby formula or killer cribs? Has Tinsel Town gotten away with poisoning wee tykes' minds with its shoddy and lackadaisical misinformation, while their bodies are fully protected? Stay tuned.

I need to say something about the third cartoon . . .

. . . included in this initial episode of the Atom Ant show--namely, W-O-O-D-P-E-C-K-E-D, featuring the "Hillbilly Bears." Though Papa Bear mumbles unintelligibly here, that's not the main problem with this film Papa Bear also is very lax regarding the basic principles of gun safety. When he shoots himself inside of the hollow log, that will be the last straw for most if not all right-minded viewers. Peacemakers are what made America great, of course, as they won the West, won the World Wars and won our U. S. streets back from the anarchists. Unfortunately, as America sinks deeper into Recession, not every citizen can afford ample shooting irons and matching ammo. So please take the time you could have spent watching this misfire to support your local chapter of BANGS: Broke Americans Need Gun Stamps.

Haven't seen this episode in a while. The last i checked it's still good.

I looked at the episode once past years ago, it has still the animation preferences it had a while ago.

Decent animation. more actual animation.
