So this ep. Starts with a spoof of Sound of Music off in the hills of Austria!!! Its great, fraulein ! +1 Star

I love the miniatures at the beginning. Can someone please send me a set???

The Hunters, they are looking for Adolf Hitler, that they suspect that Hitler is still alive and living in South America. I also like the multiple languages they use throughout the show.

From Austria to New York. The Hunters are in pursuit. They end up Nazi Hunting at an opera. Where they have found a gaggle of Nazi's but they encounter a snafu as a masked man captures them.

An Interesting Parallel

These first two episodes of season 2 seem to be following a very interesting trajectory: it is following the path set out in the first two Godfather movies. In The Godfather movies, Pacino played Michael Corleone, the son who winds up running the family and Marlon Brando playing the Godfather of the family. In The Hunters, Pacino plays the Godfather of the family and the young Jonah is the rising youth.

The second season of Hunters is set up with the same narrative technique used in The Godfather II: it alternates between scenes of Meyer in a time before the first season and scenes of Jonah leading the group as its new head. This echoes the way The Godfather II showed alternating scenes of young Vito Corleone becoming The Godfather and Michael Corleone (Pacino) as the new Godfather.

Both "families" are from opressed immigrant groups which wound up in New York City. Both families have a tense relationship with law enforcement and both families commit a bunch of murders.

It will be interesting to see if the series follows this clever path or somehow manages to jump the shark.
