I'm loving the development of Helen and Eric's relationship! I want them to get together already. The karaoke scene had me grinning from ear to ear- Heather's voice is amazing! I love how Maddie and Dana Sui respond
to the hint of Helen and Eric!
Season 2 is delivering in buckets! They've fleshed out more of the other cast (and I don't hate the kids too much this time): the male basketball scene is cheesy but makes me smile. Basically this show is like the biggest hug and gives you lots of the best cheese! Why did we have to wait 2 years for a second season Netflix?!
I'm loving all of the main Magnolias. Maddie wasn't my fave in the first season but she's grown on me so much that I really like her now, especially as they explored how tough it can be to be a mum, who has a child or a couple of children, who may be struggling (instead of just focusing on her new love interest). So that was a great storyline for her. I also think exploring how much she can hate what her husband and Noreen did to her family due to the lasting trauma/impact and try to do the right thing, for her kids and explore forgiveness.
Dana Sui makes me laugh so much; she's so strong and fun, and swings between being a fun flirty woman and a strong mum and business woman. And the love triangle- well done! I wish we saw more of it...but here's hoping!
And Helen, I mean she's my fave (go figure, I'm a lawyer too - IRL) but that's not just why I love her. Her storyline this season was heartbreaking, and exciting. I love any scene between her and Eric! I love how she supports her friends and even supports CeCee as a junior future lawyer and sees the good in her. She's so compassionate and just a good person. And boy, her acting is amazing- she portrays the highs and lows so well!
So really happy it's back. I'll do an end if season review too! Netflix- Please do not take 2 years to give us another season!
