The Greatest Ever 3D Moments
jboothmillard13 January 2010
Warning: Spoilers
3D has been on and off in the world, especially at the cinema, many times, and it returned to the screen in 2009, with the releases of films like The Final Destination and Up. To celebrate this great medium, this documentary programme, narrated by Peter Serafinowicz, counts down the ten greatest moments of 3D cinema and television over about fifty to sixty years. The list includes IMAX cinemas and The Haunted Castle, 3D TV and the Pepsi Sobe advert, Jaws 3D, Flesh for Frankenstein, American 50's 3D cinema and It Came from Outer Space, Friday the 13th Part 3, Creature from the Black Lagoon, 3D porn and The Stewardesses, 3D Music videos including Captain EO with Michael Jackson, the Pet Shop Boys' "Liberation" and Björk's "Wanderlust", and number one (ironically) being 2009 3D cinema including Disney's A Christmas Carol, Avatar and Monsters vs. Aliens. With contributions from Andrew Collins, Mark Eccleston, Kerry Godliman, Natalie Haynes, Dom Joly, James King, Zoe Lyons, Kim Newman, Lucy Porter, Vikki Stone and many more. Very good!
