Chino Pacas honors one of his rap’s heroes, Lil Wayne, on his new song “Tunechi.” On Friday, the rising corrido star released the collab alongside Gabito Ballesteros, which sees them describing a high-maintenance love interest and name-checking the rap legend in the track’s title and its opening lyrics.
“A pink Rolex/Like tusi and her lipstick,” he sings to start. “A fucking party like Lil Wayne’s/She wants excess, she wants more,” Pacas sings.

After a half-century as an Oak Ridge Boy, singer Joe Bonsall has announced his retirement more than four years after being diagnosed with a neuromuscular disorder.
The announcement, made during a concert Saturday in Greenville, Ms, comes amid increased speculation about Bonsall among fans of the country music group. During the show at Harlow’s Casino Resort, Bonsall officially handed over the mic to his touring replacement, singer Ben James.
Since 1973, Bonsall’s tenor vocals and high harmonies have been an integral part of the Oak Ridge Boys sound, including on such crossover hits as “Elvira” and “Bobbie Sue.”
In a statement, Bonsall said: “Many of you know I have been battling a slow onset (over four years now) of a neuromuscular disorder. I am now at a point where walking is impossible, so I have basically retired from the road. It has just gotten too difficult.”
He continued: “It has been a great 50 years,...

Joe Bonsall, the charismatic tenor of the Oak Ridge Boys, has retired from touring with the vocal quartet. The 75-year-old first joined the country-gospel group in 1973, following his departure from the Keystones. Bonsall recorded dozens of albums with the Oak Ridge Boys and sang on such country staples as “American Made,” “Bobbie Sue,” “Trying to Love Two Women,” and the iconic “Elvira.” Bonsall was a captivating presence on the group’s numerous tours, high-stepping and fist-pumping his way across the stage. But Bonsall says that the process of touring and...

There’s only one thing that comes to mind when you think of Elvira: franchise! And that’s exactly what Cassandra Peterson – portrayer of everyone’s favorite horror hostess – wanted following the release of Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, aiming to have the sort of success of Ernest P. Worrell. Knowwhatimean, Uncle Vinnie?
Unfortunately for Cassandra Peterson, she ran into some serious issues with a sequel to 1988’s Elvira, Mistress of the Dark (which was a box office bomb anyway) when the planned studio, Carolco Pictures, went bankrupt. But Peterson had plenty in the arsenal. As she told Dread Central, “I had a ton of [ideas] that were so awesome. I had this one called Elvira Goes to Hell, and it was like a buddy picture, and I really liked that one. It was really funny. It revolved around Halloween a little bit more and I would’ve gone more...

Happy Halloween! As a Halloween treat for Daily Dead readers, I caught up with Cassandra Peterson to discuss Halloween traditions, growing pumpkins, upcoming projects, and much more:
I saw on Instagram that you’re growing your own pumpkins this year. How has that been going?
I am! It's fantastic and we're going to cut them today before we leave. They all finally turned orange. It's the first time I ever grew pumpkins and all I have to say to anybody who wants to grow them is, "You better have a damn big spot to put them in," because my God, they're like monsters that take over the whole world!
Yeah, it looks like you have this huge area in your yard now dedicated to pumpkins.
Isn't it crazy? I just bought this little pumpkin plant. It was like four inches tall a couple months ago at a farmers' market, and I thought,...

Classic rock songs can be deceitful above all things. Today, Elvis Presley’s “There Goes My Everything” sounds like it’s about his divorce from Priscilla Presley. Here’s a look at the star who actually inspired the song and what its writer thought about the “All Shook Up” singer covering his tune.
Elvis Presley’s ‘There Goes My Everything’ was about another celebrity’s divorce
“There Goes My Everything” was written by songwriter Dallas Frazier. Frazier is perhaps most known for writing and performing the original version of The Oak Ridge Boys’ “Elvira.” During a 2017 interview with The Tennessean, he discussed the genesis of the former. “It was born out of a divorce, and fortunately not mine, but a good friend of mine, Ferlin Husky,” he said. “It was the first song I wrote when I came to Nashville, Tennessee.” Husky was a country star who had hits in the 1950s,...

The Elvira’s Haunted Hills episode of The Black Sheep was Written and Narrated by Andrew Hatfield, Edited by Juan Jimenez, Produced by Lance Vlcek and John Fallon, and Executive Produced by Berge Garabedian.
It’s always fun to see some of our horror heroes appear outside of their given role as it were. We’ve seen Stephen King appear in tons of his story’s adaptations, but he also showed up in things not associated with him like Sons of Anarchy. Sure, you get athletes that try acting, some that are even successful, but how about our beloved horror hosts? Many of them only stayed on the critique end of the movie spectrum but a couple have made the jump. Joe Bob Briggs appeared in a segment of the recent Scare Package as well as a deleted scene from Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 but never got the spotlight in his own feature length film.

The comedic vampiric personality Elvira: Mistress of the Dark, played by Cassandra Peterson was among the many who mourned the death of comedian Paul Reubens, known as the quirky Pee-wee Herman.
And while tributes poured out for Reubens, Peterson once shared that he was her best friend because they understood one another and came from a similar comedy background.
Elvira bids farewell to Pee-wee Herman: ‘I love you so much Paul’
Peterson shared a photo standing alongside Reubens. “Goodbye to my dear longtime friend, Paul Reubens,” she captioned the Instagram photo.

For those that don’t follow real estate, one of the biggest stories on the Hollywood front is that Brad Pitt recently sold his Los Angeles home for about $40 million. That’s a hell of a haul considering he bought it for $1.7 million. Oh, and this abode that Brad Pitt purchased in the mid-’90s was actually a haunted house sold to him by none other than Elvira, Mistress of the Dark.
Elvira told People she did her due diligence of letting Pitt know that he wasn’t purchasing any ordinary home. “We were just kind of warning him that a lot of weird things have been going on there in the house since we moved in…And he was very excited about that. He thought that was really cool…So we were telling Brad all about that and he loved it. I mean, there are not many buyers who...

Peterson tells People that she attempted to warn Pitt that “weird things have been going on there in the house since we moved in” but that only intrigued the actor.

John Paragon, an actor, director and writer most familiar from his disembodied, teal-faced role of Jambi the Genie on Paul Reubens’ Pee-wee’s Playhouse, died April 3 in Palm Springs of unknown causes. He was 66.
Paragon’s death, only recently made public, was confirmed to Deadline by the Riverside County Coroner.
In addition to his work with frequent collaborator Reubens — he also voiced Pterri the Pterodactyl on Playhouse — Paragon is remembered by Seinfeld fans as Cedric, half of the couple Bob and Cedric who appeared occasionally to browbeat Michael Richards’ Kramer. In the famous episode “The Soup Nazi,” Paragon and actor Yul Vazquez, as Bob, stole an armoire that Kramer was guarding for Elaine (Julia-Louis Dreyfus).
