A hasty recap of what Steph and Toadie have been up to for the past few weeks.Seems the answer is "Have one long conversation in which they slowly went mad".It feels as though each idea Toadie has for explaining away Steph's pregnancy is even more ridiculous than the last and yet for some reason they go with it.At least the episode ends with them realising what fools they've been, having casually wrecked their own lives along with Lucas, Sonya and Callum's.Lyn, interestingly, doesn't seem to be buying it for a minute which is nice characterisation.
The teens get some good material as Kate is left feeling frustrated by Donna's continued absence.Declan takes it upon himself to track her down, which he does with surprising ease.The interaction between the three of them, with Donna and Declan as soft as they've been in a long while and demonstrating just how much they both care about Kate, is heart-warming to watch.
