- The daughter talks about how her mother handcuffed her to her bed so she wouldn't sneak out to go see her boyfriend. She has bruises on her wrists from this.
- The family video camera has evidence of a mother losing her temper and forcing her daughter to eat out of a dog bowl on the ground during Thanksgiving dinner.
- A mother forces her son to drink lighter fluid after he burned their carpet (this kills the son).
- A teacher asks a boy a question and, in order to see if he's being abused, pretends to wipe something off his collar, he flinches and she deducts that he is a victim of child abuse.
- A mother is beaten to death. this scene is rather bloody and violent.
- A car is blown up in front of a man. T he force of the blast knocks him to the ground.

- This is a very emotional episode.
- The scene when the mother is killed is very emotional and intense. Seeing the mother loose her temper can be very intense, especially if you had a childhood like this. The car blowing up is a bit of a jump scene as well. The kids talk about being abused, this can be quite intense and a bit unsettling as well.
- This show was definitely NOT intended for younger audiences seeing as it deals with some pretty heavy (though usually exaggerated) real life issues.
