Spoiler Alert: I don't get the end?! "You might want to get some paper, there's a lot to write down?" I actually wanted to know what happened in the main murder/burglary case. I know there was the copycat one and the whole thing with Marie and the alarm system (and Ariel and her college interview...which I guess makes for a lot of subplots to bring nicely together at the end), but I felt really let down not knowing what was so big that Allison was willing to not tell the police what she knew about her neighbor's supposed murder in exchange for this other information. It would have had to be really good, really important intel for her to be willing to withhold the truth. And as a side note, was the shooter that Marie saw ever going to go to jail? Allison had already given Devalos the name of the guy. Whenever she has these moral dilemmas, I find it very interesting to see what she decides to do. There have been a few other situations over the series where she had to make a similar choice -- choose between two imperfect situations -- and either way she would have some culpability. Withold some crime or details of a crime, so that more people could be saved...I remember the first time it happened (can't think of the episode) & I remember thinking, "She's lost her innocence now." Anyway, I felt in a little way disappointed with the script on this episode because in a way the viewers are supposed to imagine the info Allison gets (in exchange for not telling the truth about her neighbor's death) -- so much info that she has to write it down, no less -- and we don't even get to hear what it is?! Seems like too easy of a way out for the writers...they don't have to even think of something that compelling for Allison to struggle in her conscience about. But then again, maybe I missed something?? Can someone please explain their take on the ending here and what really was the situation with the other rampant break-in and murder crimes that were occurring across the city -- there had been a number of them and they were bad, so Allison is just going to stop bugging Devalos and Scanlon about her neighbor's shooter (and they're just going to forget about it?). Something didn't click for me.
