There is much angst in this episode. To begin, Helen is lonely and sad that James probably won't be there when the baby is born. She decides to go to the farm where her father is having a tough time with an injury. He is determined she not stress herself. We find out later why he is so adamant. Mrs. Hall is at a crossroads. She has decided to go with Gerald too the Lake Country, but with Helen gone and her leaving, Siegfried will be left alone. One thing bothers me. Perhaps they could continue their relationship with a bit of time set aside. I guess this is not the case. Carmody continues to fight for respect. There are many tender moments in this one.
