No doubts, it is far to be the perfect adaptation. But, against the sins defining it- the clothes, more Sci Fi than Medieval are the obvious aspect - , it represents a good opportunity, as a sort of sparkles, to admire performances, to remind scenes, to feel the emotion of the reading of Maurice Druon series, to discover, again, recipes of revenge, fear and deaths , serving high interests. I admitt, Jeanne Moreau and Tcheky Karyo are the basic motves , for me, to remain more than indulgent about this version. And, in the case of this episode, the presence of Claude Rich is a beautiful gift.
