Drastic effects of flanderization!

In season 11 of Bob's Burgers, Gene underwent extreme flanderization, with his relationship with his mother Linda being his new defining characteristic. In one of the season 11 episodes, Gene chose Linda to be his wife in a story instead of Courtney. Thereby revealing that his relationship with Courtney is as good as over nowadays, and out of everyone in the world, he wants to be married to Linda.

Now here comes season 12, and here's an episode where Courtney so wants Gene to be in a music video. It should come as to no surprise, to anyone familiar with the flanderization of Gene in season 11, that he would blow Courtney off and absolutely hate it. His current characteristic kicks in so satisfyingly! (I say "satisfyingly" because it's the exact thing I expected to see happen in modern Bob's Burgers (in stark contrast to classic Bob's Burgers))

All in all, this episode just had an extremely predictable plot. Also, Courtney really needs to give up on Gene, the relationship is over nowadays. It's 2022 for god's sake, not 2012! Get with the times!

Gene acting like he's too good for his friends for 22 mins

Gene was beyond insufferable in this episode, like seriously my dude just make the dumb stupid music video wit your friends, Gene acting like unless music is Revolution 9 it's beneath him to partake in it. Gene acts like the worst part of ANY community. They try to make him seem like he learned a lesson by the end but then at the VERY end he just grimaces and begrudgingly likes the music video so he doesn't learn anything he at best just learns not to be vocal about his pretentiousness.

B plot was great though which is why I'm giving it 2 stars best enjoyed in clips though cause the Gene plot is just too rough to sit through.
