Tired one way jokes

This show is in desperate need of better writers

It quickly lost its heart after season one but at least there was humour for a couple more seasons.

But the main problem is all the jokes are on Dave. And it's not guy camaraderie. It's just his neighbor dumping on him with with stereotype humour. And the jokes are weak.

Not sure why the show is all one liners. Zero character development in 5 seasons is disappointing.

Calvin's self centered character has near no development in 5 seasons. And even when there is a little, it is totally forgotten in all future episodes.

And the butlers are always tight is old. Bring real topics that develop the show.

Season 5 Opener: Welcome Back to Fantasyland...

I generally enjoy this show and consider it entertaining enough to watch from week to week. It's had it's overly 'woke' moments in past seasons but Season 5 - Episode 1 really hit it out of the park. Calvin is mistaken as a gardener by a lesbian couple that just moved in. He's also miffed by the gentrification going on in the neighborhood. Then Dave goes off the grid and full Solar. When the neighborhood blacks out, everyone plugs into Dave's house and they enjoy a block party with the big screen, deep fryers, music lights, chargers and all for hours on end. Funny how Dave's battery bank must fill his entire basement in order to power the whole neighborhood for hours. Also...Grover gets grounded for riding an electric scooter. Like that would ever happen in real life.

The Neighborhood appears to have turned into Fantasyland...
