Probably the best in the new episodes

Warning: Spoilers
This episode features a.parody of Amazon called Momazon. Bender decides to work for them, but gets trapped. Fry, Leela and Professor Farnsworth go to rescue him, only to find out the app has become killer and is growing with the ending revealing it's going to grow into the Universe. Dang, this show exaggerates every trope it uses, am I right? Anyway, the best part was probably the beginning when we learn Leela is moving in with Fry. This is wonderful because it solidifies Fry and Leela as having an ongoing relationship.

We get to tackle how Bender deals with this. It really is an interesting scenario to see how someone's best friend deals with his friend's girlfriend moving in. Mom makes her triumphant return. She's very funny in this and there's lots of great jokes about her slapping. It's amazing how much you can do with that. They should call "Guinness World Records" about largest built object ever created! ***1/2.

Thank your god.

Finally another good episode.

The stuff I liked: unlike the other episodes, the pacing was actually on point, it didn't feel like things were rushed. The comedy was also decent, still not quite as good as previous seasons, but the jokes were actually pretty clever. The characters were still written well and some things actually caught me off guard.

The stuff I disliked: the commentary is still a bit on the nose, not too overbearing, but still not all that subtle or creative. I feel like some characters are too sidelined and I think that this season (this episode included) has mostly lacked any creative ideas for commentary instead.

Overall, while the commentary still isn't the strongest. It's made up for by the other aspects of writing.

They FINALLY found their footing.

I've enjoyed the previous 4 episodes but most of them had a ton of problems. This episode feels like they are finally on track to their old selves. The characters were all in character, the main trio were the main focus this episode, and we get a nice status quo change with Leela moving in with Fry and Bender.

I love how they handled Fry and Leela this episode, they had a small fight in the middle but then 5 seconds later they immediately made up and kissed. It feels like a very natural and healthy relationship. I'm excited to see how it develops.

I like how they are incorporating the eye phones in these new episodes, it really makes the continuity stronger and make the killer app episode better in retrospect. Them just casually using it in any episode whenever they need something is just great.

I love the topical aspect of this episode, it was talking about Amazon as Momazon where Mom is in control of everything. The way they handled the jokes and storyline felt very natural and fit very easily in the already established lore and canon of the show.

This episode was overall very well written and a taste of what we could be getting in the future.

Even if you don't like these episodes I encourage you to at least try every episode instead of ignoring them. You never know when they pull out a secret masterpiece like "The Late Phillip J. Fry".
