Hoarding & Flipping Combo Show
catfanatic8881 December 2022
I don't know why some reviewers are so freaked out wondering what happened to the old homeowners. Maybe they passed away. Maybe they moved in with their kids. We don't know because it is not the focal point of the show. Other shows focus on the hoarders but this one is about a young couple buying hoard houses to flip. Yes it's sad that some people destroy their homes and abandon them but that's not this couple's fault or problem. I find it interesting to see their vision of how lovely the house could be. Instead of just bulldozing all the homes. The houses are really promising with good bones. It's a promising show.

I really enjoyed!

I really enjoyed this series! Everyone saying the poor people who's houses got bought.... We have no clue what the situation was! Maybe somebody buying the house saved them from losing it to the bank, maybe someone passed and the family could not deal and sold as is! We are all so judgy lol! I highly doubt ppl were taken advantage of. Houses get listed on the open market like this so...

I really enjoyed the brothers and the brother sister combo. I liked the winniieg design the best by far as there seemed to be a bit more Interesting design. The brothers had good attitudes. Did not live the husband wife style at all but I am sure others do.

Had me laughing out loud

All the groups were good but liked the Winnipeg people the best, the Design was original and the brother and sister were FUNNY! True sibling interaction 😂 also loved the lights they put on that first house from Winnipeg

Liked the brothers from montreal too but seemed overacted a lot and really did not like the overall concepts for the houses. But just not my style, I am sure other people liked it as they sold

Curious what happened to the sellers to just leave behind everything but imagine they took what they wanted and left everything they did not want to deal with, or family did not want to deal with.

Shining a turd works even in Canada

Warning: Spoilers
The show follows three groups of flippers. In episode one we're greeted by a married couple who will do anything for the $. This couple must be swimming in money, they repurpose almost nothing. There sheer greed is astounding, and I'm sure they were so many a Canadian landfill. This meat leads me to the brother and sister duo, who has a fetish for pot fillers. I mean seriously how lazy do you have to get not to walk to the sink to fill a pot with water. The sister in the duel was a chef, so Innoway I get it? However most private homes will never have more than a maximum of two people in the kitchen. Probably one for moral support, the other to cook. It's not like there's 20 people that you have to maneuver around. Additionally her vibe on the core is alarmingly "IKEA" friendly. She rips up Hardwood parquet floor, to put down Home Depot plastic flooring. In one episode she tore down a brick feature that surrounded the furnace and water heater so that she could put up some art deco garbage. Most of her design accents to me are hideous, Are completely aesthetic?? Having no real quality installation (It's just cheap garbage) but apparently very attractive to Canadian buyers. True Home Depot houses, you really can polish a turd. The third group is a trio of brothers who are absolutely hilarious! If the show is not worth watching for anything else watching these guys flip the houses which are admittedly some of the worst in the show makes it all worth it. And best of all, these guys probably do the most quality remodel of the three groups showcased in the series.

The Elephant in the Room

This is for episode one - Clearly, the more interesting story here is WHAT HAPPENED TO THE PEOPLE IN THE HOUSE? Just bizarre. A whole life walked away from. It was hard for me to get excited about this adorable couple flipping this house knowing the history was probably a painful one for someone(s). Something clearly went wrong in the previous owner's lives years ago and the fully furnished house was abandoned at that time. Everything remains - clothes, food, mementos, a packed garage and basement. Where did they go? The cute couple who host the show are entertaining and like-able but the content isn't original. If you love the home renovation shows, this one will work for you.

Whomever created this clearly doesn't have a soul.

I couldn't get through 5 min of this monstrosity of a show. These floppers buy and flip someone's home that they lost due to mental health disorder with a bright, cheerful, soulless disposition. If you've ever seen Hoarders, most of these homeowners end up homeless or die from physical ailments caused by the toxic living environment. Their possessions are seized, they go into crippling debt, lose their kids, or the house is outright condemned.

-------------------------------------------------- This is pure exploitation and greed at it's finest. These people should be ashamed of themselves.------------------------------------

More Flops than Flips
hqdhxbr26 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The Brothers are the best part of the series. The "siblings" (episode 3 and 5) absolutely destroyed a beautiful mid century home to turn it into an un-inspired flip. Absolute trash of a series and do not recommend. Only watch episode 2 and 4.

I have to stress that the "siblings" tore down a beautiful brick wall to put up a fake veneer brick wall. They're complete hacks and should have never been filmed, but drama over actual professionals I guess because real pros or people with any actual taste would never make these decisions. They took out windows and made spaces darker. Wtf. At least the brothers made things better and had taste.
