Awful in every aspect

As a long-time Lifetime movie fan, I have been disappointed by this year's offerings of new movies. Bad Nanny is, in my opinion, the worst so far. The plot "twist" is spoiled in the description of the movie and that acting... I would not be surprised if this was a first role for everyone involved. Not entirely their fault as the script is just bad.

I love a cheesy-bad Lifetime movie with over-the-top acting, outlandish plots and terrible scripts but there is a huge difference between those classics and this particular type of bad movie. The acting was wooden, at times with no inflection at all. There was no "twist" as you knew going into it the "why".

Warning: Spoilers
It's not great, but not the worst. The story itself is easy to follow and uncomplicated. We've seen this movie before. Haley/Kendra's jealousy, envy, desire for revenge was reasonably explained in the movie. About as well as any other movie with this plot. I honestly thought it was wayyy over the top to kill XXXXXXX and XXXXXXXX. Kendra/Haley started off past the point of no return.

The acting wasn't great, but on par filler Lifetime movies. The actress who played Remy has been popping up a lot lately and she did fine. I probably would have fired the nanny after the little girl repeated what Kendra told her about her mother not loving her. If my child had never uttered something like that before and I know her cognitive ability and level of comprehension, there's no way I would have taken what the nanny said as the truth. I will never understand why characters don't question why things start going wrong when characters show up.

There's only so much to say about this one. It's a mashup of Single Black Female, Swim Instructor Nightmare, and most of the basic nanny movies. Predictable as all get out. Sometimes it's nice when these movies switch up the status quo, but that's not happening here.
