Warning: Spoilers
A special episode. Naruto asks Motoi advice of how Killer B passed the test at the Falls of Truth. So Motoi explains many things: usually the jinchuriki is chosen among the closer persons or relatives of the Kage. B was chosen as the Raikage's brother, so Motoi thinks that managed to control the Hachibi in order to protect his brother. It was a sign of power and strength. He also tells that B as a kid, though being despised and rejected by the villagers, he never showed depression or sadness (and he always rapped, used rimes). B was proud to be a jinchuriki, or that was what he let everyone see. Now, Motoi admires him. But he tells he can't ask advice to B, because he feels guilty. He decides to tell a sad story to Naruto, only because he is a jinchuriki as well. Since little, he was a very good friend with B. But the problems came when he was turned into the jinchuriki. The previous one, relative of the 3rd Raikage, lost control of the Hachibi 30 years ago. That day, as the Raikage, Aniki, and their team fought to seal the beast, Motoi's father died on the battle, along other shinobis. Aniki slashed the Hachibi's left horn, who then was sealed, and the jinchuriki died. So then, B was forced to become the new jinchuriki. Still, he never changed. B took flowers to Motoi's father grave, and never tried to push him away. The kid Motoi grew in anger against the Hachibi, seeing his mother cry over the loss of his father, and slowly started hating B, because he didn't take the matter seriously by singing and pretending happiness. He also thought that if B died, the Hachibi would die too. One day, the kid Motoi tried to kill him with a kunai, but failed as it was accidentally blocked by B's sword. B didn't seem to mind, and tried to clash fist with his friend, but Motoi ran away. Days later, while seeing B being rejected by the villagers, who threw him eggs, Motoi realized that B's pain and suffering was bigger. He left his childish revenge aside and started admiring him. Naruto is shocked to hear this story, and leaves the Falls, alone and saddened. He goes to the coast, and reflectionates on all the past discrimination and rejection from Konoha villagers towards him. He thinks about what his inner self said, and realizes it's the truth: he still doesn't trust the villagers, he thinks or knows that he doesn't have everyone's support. Yamato and Motoi soon find him, but then they are attacked by the squid again. Naruto and Yamato try to stop the creature, yet the Hachibi suddenly appears to defeat it, and rescue Motoi. The two old friends see each other, and Motoi confess the past incident. B calmly asks if that's what happened, but also says he remembers their time as friends, laughing, training, the past is the past. Motoi holds tears, and shares a fist bump with him. Naruto cheers for them. This episode was great because of Killer B and Motoi's story. B's background is expanded, and is showed a lot from him. In comparison to Naruto, who tends to express more his feelings, B simply hides them. As Motoi said, he never showed angst, sadness, depression, frustration. He survived thanks to his personality, his rap, getting distracted. He can get serious if he wants too. A curious fact is that if Motoi said that the incident happened 30 years ago, then B must be almost 40 years old. He has enough experience. It's weird that Motoi would avoid such theme for so long, but B never demanded explanations. For Motoi, such memory from the past hurts, yet he wasn't consumed by revenge and got to see the reality. The last scene was emotive, touching because B's kindness. That's the difference between B and Naruto, the older doesn't have a grudge against everyone around. Time helped him to understand that being a jinchuriki is not a punishment.
