Nifty making of doc
Woodyanders12 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This 40-minute retrospective documentary covers a good deal of interesting and informative ground on the making of the late 80's slasher cult favorite "Intruder." Lead actress Elizabeth Cox talks about doing all kinds of different screams in the movie, the KNB guys discuss how this film was their first big gig, and Charles Band mentions that he helped finance the picture as well as later distributed it. Among the things revealed in this doc was that the movie was shot in a closed down grocery store in Bell, California, an earlier Super 8 short version called "Night Crew," the shelves were stocked with spoiled goods, Sam Raimi was very conscientious of his performance, and how the film was ultimately released direct to video in a severely cut R-rated version. Worth a watch for fans of the film.
