Welcome back, Aqua Teen
Amthermandes28 November 2023
There is a lot of talk online about the new animation style. It seems to be split 50/50 in online communities. But for myself, I"m ok with it, because what makes me enjoy the show, are the characters and the dialogue. And even though the animation has changed, the humor, characters, typical plotlines, and mannerism remains the same. It's a satisfying return for such a classic Adult Swim adult animated show.

It's funny, stupid, stupidly funny, and entertainingly stupid. It's not one of the best episodes by far, but we get some great moments and memorable quotes, and that's good enough for me.

And as usual, Shake is hilarious.

Damn, this is good

I usually try to avoid or not let myself get excited for reboots. Media attempting to recapture magic of older media usually falls flat on its face, but this was a very solid return to form for a once great show. All 4 main characters are used well and are as funny as always. The new animation is a bit of a tough pill to swallow, but it's something you get used too quickly, a lot of the episode takes place in a different style of animation and it's actually complimented by the higher budget. Between this and the great 12 oz. Mouse season 3, these people are still talented even to this day. I'm excited to see what the other episodes have in store.

Definitely met my Expectations

Warning: Spoilers
This episode was really good, I have been waiting since like 2021 for this to happen, wondering if they're gonna come back to television, and they did. If I'm gonna be honest, I set my expectations really low when Plantasm came out. It was a really fun launch party with my friends and I. But this is the Humor I've been missing from Adult Swim, the only new thing I was watching was Rick and Morty.

The story was hilarious, seeing Shake in a state like that made me laugh my ass off. And in the end where Shake got up and snapped his spine was the one that brought me to tears. The credits really brought me some major nostalgia, because I saw all the old characters from previous episodes I watched as a child.

In retrospect, 9/10, a very good come back for ATHF.

I've been watching Aqua Teen Hunger Force since the early 2000s and this episode was a complete waste of time, it had hardly any plot or humor. Just Shake being Shake. You'll understand this when you see it. The only people who really went above and beyond on this episode was the animation department as they did a fantastic job with all the visuals and everything. How bland this episode it gives the second movie they did a run for its money on the mediocrity this has.

I would not have animated, let alone pitched the plot of this episode and this is coming from a hardcore fan. How did any network executive who calls the shots approve of this episode thinking it was good enough for production.

I'm appreciative that the original voice actors came back and did the voices but I wouldn't have said yes to this one unless they all loved working together or it was a quick pay day. There's no way in heck this deserves the rating out of 10 this has received.
