Best episode of the series?
patriots5671 April 2023
If not, it's definitely in contention. The acting and writing were both well above par. It's almost as if you were watching a documentary on a real crime. Compared to other CSI episodes, this one is packed with more emotion and heartbreak. You can tell the writers put time and effort into this one episode. The best episodes are where the characters get really emotionally invested in the case they're working on, in this case it was Maxine. And that ending. Wow. I challenge anyone to not feel some sort of sadness while watching this. I'm not one to spoil anything, you need to see for yourself. Also, it was awesome to see Greg Sanders back in the fold, even if he was kind of in the background during this episode. Wish we would've seen more of him. I hope he sticks around. Well done CSI Vegas. If you keep making episodes like this, I'll continue to watch.

Reminded me of old skool CSI with Grissom and crew
RobbieKhanUK5 April 2023
Loads of character driven story development in this episode, by far my fav of the new series and I really like the current team even more now. Greg was great to see, Roby is nicely falling into her role and whilst she doesn't have the quirk of Grissom or Russell, she has her own extremely likeable qualities.

This episode had a bit of everything that has made CSI Vegas so great ever since I started watching it back in my college days, and it's great to see the writing hasn't let up at all. The forensic science is still excellent, the script is well thought out, the crimes are just compelling and initially mysterious enough to keep you guessing, and the scenes are well paced leaving you enough time to take in what's just happened before the next series of developments.

I've watched all the CSI series and Vegas remains my favourite for sure, and i future episodes are like this, then this won't change, ever.

Real good

Warning: Spoilers
This was a real good episode. I just wish Raquel would have died immediately after the surgery, so Maxine did not have the illusion that all went well. What was the point of doing that? We all knew Raquel was a goner since she extracted the promise from Maxine (and remember, that was the title of the episode) and it was obvious it all would end with the little one burials. So, why the delay? Why losing screen time in having Max back in the hospital, when it could have all done in a shorter time if the hospital only had a single scene? There was no need of a low blow.

Anyways, I was glad to see Greg back. And I also like the return of that forensic doctor. I like Sonia, but I think this man is the best in all the reboot. And the story itself was not only emotional but well built and well narrated. And the acting was good. Well done, CSI. Keep the good work.

Wanting more Greg Sanders....

Warning: Spoilers
This is the best episode yet of the CSI re-birth, by far. It's been kinda terrible up until now. The main reason this one was best, is seeing Greg Sanders return. He needs a big episode himself (not about Max - which is strange on his big return you focused on her), hopefully writing something for him that is is brilliant, clever and witty. His comedic acting ability is highly missed. I was hoping for more scenes of him, hopefully in next episodes? Where was Catherine on this one? Her absence was glaring. The guest star Regina Taylor was superb, so were the other guest actors. Kinda sad you killed her at the end, was that necessary? Less Rajan was nice for once, you could understand what the actors said, which is a huge turnaround from prior episodes. Beau is a keeper, you think his dead girl issue would have been more involved here, but it was the Paula show I guess. The new ME is by far the best at that roll in the entire series re-boot. I like Greg Sanders w/ Penny, wow in that scene they were brilliant together. You have my attention again, for now at least. Hopefully you have more of the quality scripts for the best actors of the bunch very soon. OG Fan here, put our beloved OG's more on screen please. Better music too could help a lot, it should not be so commercial and enough of the sob story tunes too. Though all things can easily improved if you take a lot the fans advice. Bravo on this one though, it was a quality episode. True fans will be watching like hawks....
