The common man and the people's champion!

This "WWE Legends" episode from A @ E would showcase one of my all time favorite wrestlers that being the "American Dream" the one and only "Dusty Rhodes". Told thru clips, and interviews from family and ex wrestlers it was a showcase of his humble start in east Austin, Texas where Virgil Riley Runnels( name changed to Dusty) grew up poor yet always had big dreams, and a big heart, as determined by playing baseball and football he would later with his big body turn his life to the squared ring circle and start in Texas as a tag team bad ass then on to Florida and then he even toyed with Vince and the big boys in the "WWF". Yet Dusty was a behind the scenes promoter too and when he joined Jim Crockett and the Mid Atlantic promotions it was the golden era and most memorable run of his life. That's when I first started watching I remember when Rhodes became "NWA" champion he was so fun to watch as his speeches gave faith and power to the common and poor man. His was simply a showman and his epic battles with Ric Flair were classic with wrestling great super chemistry at it's highest mountain. Even despite his poke a dot turn in the "WWF". Dusty later retired as a "Hall of Famer" and watched his two sons Dustin and Cody transform into fun watchable acts. Also nice seeing in the end was how Dusty wrapped up his family all in love as being Dad and Granddad was most important. Nice tribute of the late legend as Dusty was a true "American Dream".
