Upon a 2nd Rewatch, this Episode Stood Out Among the Rest

There is no question that the majority of the fanbase of Community regards S04 of being the worst of the show's run and I certainly am in that boat. I have been rewatching the show to see if I was being too harsh on this season but the absence of Harmon can be really felt and it really is not that great compared to s1-3 and 5-6. Although this is the case, this episode really stood out to me on a 2nd watch, and the reason being is that, it feels and could fit in the 1st season of community. This is definitely one of the highlights of the gas leak year and it deserves to be one of the top rated episodes in this season.

I know many Harmonites slam season 4, but really when you watch some of the season 5 and 6 episodes, you really must give a kinder reassessment of season 4 for sure. Herstory of Dance stands out as one episode of season 4 worth watching for sure, with a special cameo by Sophie B. Hawkins to save the day for Britta. This episode was sweet, gentle and Abed-focused.

Reminds of me of the first season.

The reason I love this episode is because it reminds me of the first season, it has the same formula as the early episodes and i love that. I think the fans dislike it just because it's part of season 4 and they love to hate it. It's also fun to see pierce painted as something other than a villain for a change. The abed and rachel story is completely adorable and really works for him and his character and I'm glad they kept it for the later seasons. The only thing I dislike about the episode is that donald glover is preparing to leave the show and the writers have been making his part in the episodes shorter :(

Classic Community Episode

This was a surprising episode that does not deserve to be ranked so low. This had all the classic chemistry and a funny Inspector Spacetime Easter egg. The Brie Larsen character was sweet as it gave Abed more character growth. I know folks were upset about Dan Harmon leaving but people should really judge the show on the content.

Finally a good episode of the show for me making it the most enjoyable of the season so far as it say a good use of Britta my favourite character on the show. It was both sweet and funny to see her in defeat but also get what she wanted with the help of Pierce who has been used very well lately. Abed also finding a girl he connects with was a growth for the character and the show that they would make socially awkward Abed appealing to a women. Good one liners throughout with Jeff and Dean also being used for some funny moments while other characters were wasted. Also a nice appearance by Sophie B. Hawkins.

I was on the edge of my seat for the last 3rd of the episode!

Wow, the exposition was succinct and the plot branched off wonderfully. By the time Abed's real love showed her chemistry, I was on the edge of my seat. Abed's acting had me almost in tears (in a good way). Bravo to the writers of the show. If I could give this episode a 15/10, I would. My life has changed after watching this episode. I am on an exponentially upward trajectory in my life, and this episode was the catalyst.
