Certainly not a comedy.

One more example of what I like the most in the french little crime dramas films.

This not was not very widely released, and I guess not many audiences will Watch it. Such a shame, as I usually say.

The tale of an old timer and petty thief who meets an even pettier thief, a guy in his twenties. The story emphasizes on the difference between the two of them. The old guy who tries to teach the Young one, some tricks about business. But also how to read, how to drive. This gives us some touching sequences, but this movie reserves us also some depressing and dark sequences, such the bath-tub one. Patrick Chesnais's character is outstanding, no one in the audience may say if he is totally sympathetic or not. Ambivalent at the most. I love that. And keep in mind that Chesnais has rarely played such characters on the screen. I would say never. But I am not sure at one hundred percent.

A good try for the director.
