Something&Nothing

Well, narrow mindedness people shouldn't watch this show, especially not for laughs ! Usually a sign of being frightened by the unknown like ghosts. NO ONE knows what happens after death, so we don't know who'll get the last laugh ! This show is ok, scared investigators unfortunately which doesn't help, there are a lot better investigation shows on the subject out there. So, not impressed....

Warning: Spoilers
Low production value & terrible casting. It's difficult to believe that these are *highly experienced investigators* when they cry ghost & run at the drop of a hat. I would say that they are a handful of idiots who were willing to do anything to get their faces on television. They used very cheap grainy camera equipment & were obviously grasping at straws when it came to any kind of evidence - More than once, it was obvious that they were staging photos for the sake of needing something to show for their efforts at the end of the episode. The first time, they had the grainy silhouette of the tattooed skinny psychic in a ghost photo. Then the next episode they had the silhouette of the ugly fat bloke, which was given as *evidence* of an apparition manifesting for a photo. Who enjoys this nonsense? Unbelievable.

The worst
cammic22 November 2023
It starts with the worst over dramatic voice over.....and just gets worse! Where did they find these "experts"....one looks like he's wearing clown makeup and never seems at all convincing!

My grandmother was more convincing when telling me about the boogie man.

When they show anymore evidence other than "did you hear that?" or "I think I saw a shadow!" I might engage.

It seems that all over a sudden there are paranormal experts everywhere....and now they are trying to convince Aussies.....good luck with that.

Any building in the dark is going to make noise.....especially when it's old. If you want a good laugh tune into this load of ...

Great New Show
checkted2224 March 2015
This is a great new show in the US. The production values are outstanding, far better than most of the paranormal shows. The investigators are credible, well developed, and articulate. The story is interesting, and intriguing. The show avoids the hokey tricks to most paranormal shows, and is interesting as history as well as a search for manifestations of of the spiritual world.

After being a fan of Ghost Hunters International, I was disappointed to see that Robb Demarest appears so little in the first episode. While some viewers criticize him for his rigorous standards of observation, I have always had more faith in him. He seems to bring a powerful integrity to the investigation. His long history in the field means that he is less likely to be led astray by stray phenomenon.

The explanation of the technology is clear and through. The international character of the team adds depth to the show.

I can't wait for next week's episode.

What a joke!

Warning: Spoilers
I was so excited to see the Aussie version of this show being an Aussie, but I am so embarrassed with how pathetic it is!

I watched the first 6 shows and although am known for watching stupid shows, couldn't bare watching one more episode! I don't understand why the producers chose a forklift driver from the Barossa, a Pommy guy who wouldn't have a clue and a woman who is petrified of her own shadow and runs out of rooms screaming for no reason! She thought she saw something in one episode and ran out of the premises screaming but in a subsequent show was supposedly touched by an entity and was fine with it!! It's so obvious the show is fake and saying "did you hear that" and " something touched me" doesn't prove a thing!!

The people involved with the investigations are aggravating beyond belief but to top it off is the over voice guy who exaggerates everything and talks through the entire show! He has the most annoying accent and his comments are idiotic to say the least!

This version of the show is unwatchable and whoever cast the investigators hasn't got a clue about casting "like able" personalities! I am so disappointed with this show!

Finally an Aussie show!
ebbz6619 February 2014
i was very excited to finally see a paranormal show on my TV that was done in Australia! I missed the first episode unfortunately, so started with Geelong jail episode. I'm very excited to see Ian back on my TV screen after seeing him on most haunted for so long it's great having him back. i'm really impressed by the evidence that the team got, especially the photograph and the video, that was amazing! its also great to see that there are Aussie's on the the team and not just internationally recognisable people. I Can't wait to see the rest of the series. I hope that they dull down the background music and noises and it interferes a bit with the viewing as sometimes I wasn't sure if that was the real noise or just sound effects and music added later. The format resembles most haunted (an English show, but that's cool. A great start.

Pure Hokum
sgilbert-1116 April 2015
What is there to watch here? Self-videoed "experts" running away from their own shadows, self-proclaimed psychics pumping out the same bilge that any Halloween party medium could spout, 0% hard evidence of anything paranormal, over-dubbed sound effects where viewers wait for real audio to manifest itself, and a grand wrap-up at the end where everyone congratulates themselves on finding...nothing. I'm surprised that Robb Demarest is involved with this junk. He's already earned the respect of investigators and audiences from his previous years with quality productions. After a decade of Ghost Hunters the bar is set pretty high, and this claptrap deserves to be dead and buried with no chance of resurrection.

Such A Shame
violetskye1927 July 2015
I found this DVD set by chance online, read a couple of good reviews and figured I'd take a chance, it didn't take me long into episode one, to realize there are some chances you just shouldn't take ! The narrator, oh my god, what pit of hell did they drag him out of ? And I hope they can get a refund, as he just ruins the entire show, and for me all credibility of it as well. How can I take a paranormal show as at all legitimate, when they use such a cheesy narrator, and let's be honest they could of just gone with Rob, he was OK to 'lead' the team, surely using him should've been a given. If there is a season 2, and I'm betting there won't be, after watching episode one of the first season, for dear god kill the narrator and then go hunt his ghost ;)

"Dude, RUN!
lptboyer26 May 2015
I am a die hard Ghost Hunters fan, and then also became just as hooked on GHI. I was upset when Rob Demarest left that show. He was always very credible and level headed. So upon seeing this new show that he is in, I was so excited. But I am so disappointed in Rob for even appearing on this show. His "hand-picked" investigators are all wimps! I can not believe how many times they back out of a room because they have a "feeling". That is when you go IN! It is just a very hokey show compared to the Ghost Hunters and GHI shows. I also hate the way that it is filmed, I really don't want to look up anyone's nose "Blair Witch" style. I wish they would bring GHI back, but if not, then at least get Rob off of this show so he can do a show where everyone isn't backing out of rooms constantly and he can do what he does best, go IN and investigate!

I didn't mind it.

Warning: Spoilers
It's definitely refreshing to see something from Australia as there is a very rich history here. However, I thought it would be even more brilliant if there were something that included the Australian Indigenous history. There are many sites including the Myall Creek massacre in 1838 which involved 30 and 40 murders of Indigenous people. There's indigenous stories about many strange and fearsome creatures in the bush. Would be cool if they had a look out there and spent some time with Indigenous elders in communities - they will definitely find something out there. In all honesty, I did enjoy the show, however, I love having the mixture of science and physic In the Geelong Goal episode I would've loved to have seen the woman in the cell that would've made some interesting viewing.

laughed myself silly, i almost wet myself...

Warning: Spoilers
i've never seen something so ridiculous that it was so funny. most comedy movies and shows have to work hard to create this kind of thing. at one point, this guy who was supposed to be a bare-fisted boxer with 27 out of 28 wins (uh-huh), he was so scared that he almost threw-up on the camera he was wearing around his torso, then at one point, he got spooked by something we could neither hear nor see, he starts running like a little kid, but with the camera angle we have (below his chest aimed at his face), all we can see is his arms going on screen and off screen in a strange alien motion of forth and back rather than back and forth... it's just a weird show... the "medium" woman is scared of anything that goes 'tick' or 'boo' in the night... i'm sure whoever thought of this show was up one night watching "ghost adventures" while high as a kite on weed or some other "whoa dude" kind of drug and thought, 'hey, i can make a show like that' but forgot to get people who actually know what they're doing... i'm not saying that the places visited on this show aren't haunted, but there's no way that the group of people on haunting: Australia could find a single spirit, EVP, orb or shadow person...

Quit being cheap Syfy, GIVE US GHOST HUNTERS BACK!!
sandyp-318-36044124 March 2015
Incredibly cheesy. Very poor intro music, the narrator sounds like a Hannibal Lecter knockoff. I was hoping for something much more professional and interesting. The research was almost non evident. It was something I would expect from a group of 7th graders with Dad's video camera, trying to scare each other.

Quit trying to be cheap Syfy!

This was a bomb in 2014, and it's still a stinker today. Invest the money and bring us our beloved professional back. You've been promising for three months. Am coming to the end of my patience, as I expect other paranormal enthusiasts are as well. Very soon I will be switching off SyFy for good. Especially if they think this is an acceptable level of tomfoolery, smoke and mirrors. Ridiculous.

Another SyFy leering failure. Does the Programming Department really think that insulting it's audience is an acceptable practice? If yes, heads need to roll.

Don't waste your time.

awful
kiana18131 August 2014
I only watch shows like this to get a good laugh cos the truth is that there's no such things as ghosts so these people must be dealing with either Satan or 1 or more of his demons! When a person dies they either go to heaven or hell both of which are very real; people's souls do NOT stay on earth as ghosts! People need to get real & realize what they're really dealing with when these incidents do happen! I'm so tired of shows about ghosts, which are nonexistent,& shows about aliens, which are also very nonexistent! Shows like these are a waste of airtime on TV when something more entertaining or educational could be put on TV in these slots to watch! Anyone who believes in such nonsense will find out the truth when they die I guess but in the meantime stop wasting airtime on the TV with such nonsense!
