Really something

Warning: Spoilers
This was a neat mystery "Adventure Time" episode, which also shows how is the everyday life of one ordinary citizen from Candy Kingdom: In this case, the titular Root Beer Guy, a recurring extra who appeared as background character since Slumber Party Panic, but this is the first time in the series where he plays a major role, revealing his liking for detective and crime stories, which sharply contrast with his routine work as a telemarketer.

I loved the way in which "Root Beer Guy" makes an interesting homage to film-noir and classic detective stories (In a similar way than the excellent chapter "BMO Noire") While the resolution was a bit predictable, the overall result was quite well made and highly enjoyable to watch.

The machinist reference?

Great episode, reminds me a lot of "The machinist" with Christian Bale, just more kid friendly. Perfect example of what makes this series so great: adult themes through a childish and funny style so everyone can enjoy it.

This episode gave me happy feelings. It was an actual mystery, with clues and funny, excellent writing, and just a really engaging performance by Jack Pendarvis. This is just the perfect adventure time episode.
