Great Idea, Bad Audio!
heratyplant9 March 2021
I appreciate & respect any 'passion project' such as this, the effort involved in creating anything like this is enormous, so for that alone, all concerned are to be congratulated.

Although this obviously has a restricted budget, it stands up pretty well, the animation style is easy to get used to & the colour palette makes it engaging to watch. There's a good story here & any DW fan would most likely enjoy it.

Unfortunately all of this effort & potential is lost due to the horrendous audio quality, not the background music which is broadcast quality, but the all important dialogue. The quality of each performers speech varies from clear & OK, to muffled & dull, I suppose you could get used to it, but the most uncomfortable part is that these variations can occur in the same scene. So one actor sounds clear & the other actor, supposedly in the same room, sounds like they're in an airing cupboard! The explanation would be that the performers reordered their parts separately at home or wherever & emailed them in, creating an uneven soundscape. All of this could be overlooked, but many of the voice artists aren't up to the task & are very flat in their delivery, with others performing rather well, this divide in talent makes it even more difficult to enjoy.

Lessons learned for next time!
