Challenge From The Year 2020
clayface927 February 2020
This is a review from the Year 2020. People in 1966 are disappearing when they come into contact with a strange goo. These events seem to be identical to those in the science fiction novel Challenge From The Year 2020. The author of the book insisted that these were real events that he learned about from one of his inventions. It seems that a dying alien race from 2020, the Kemur, sent one member of their race back to 1966 Japan to kidnap humans to send back to their home planet to harvest their organs. This is one of the better episodes of the series.

Fiction? Reality?

This episode just has a good old fashion sci-fi story that is nicely crafted and delivers on mystery and atmosphere. It's fitting since the mystery of the episode is people randomly disappearing, the events of which align with a sci-fi novel. As such the plot doesn't fully explain the connection, but the tone of the episode just makes it enjoyable overall. Also the Kemur Man is a nice alien design, having some asymmetric facial features that make it quite interesting. I remember seeing its cameo in Ultraman first so it was nice to see where it came from.
