Violent and explicit but what for?
frantastika7 September 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Im aware that violence against women, men, kids and animals exist in this world and I would like to change that, therefore for create conscience maybe we may need to see it in films for better understanding for how we had become a violent society. However, this film will not contains that context or narrative to hold together your mind and body, because put you through the unpleasant shock over and over again with little space to reflexion or at least, for find meaning for what you are seeing. The first half hour you are engaged;the actresses are great in their roles, but suddenly they are transformed into monsters that leave no space for you to see the previous person they were portraying before…and that's all. This film unfortunately lost the opportunity to portrait what was intended.

Absolutely Horrible!!!

What a waste of time this movie is. There's almost nothing redeemable about this film. It has easily some of the worst dialogue and shots I've ever seen in a movie. And trust me I've seen all kinds of garbage. The main characters are as unlikable as they come. Nothing happens through most of this train wreck. And for all the hot women involved in this you also have no nudity from them, making this more unlikable than it already was. Most of the scenes are done in long, boring wide shots. And its seems like they had no boom operator because whenever they're in a crowd shot you can't hear anyone. This movie is truly terrible! The only redeeming quality is the soundtrack. The rest of this waste of celluloid should be avoided at all cost.

Just like the Cyndi Lauper song, girls just want to have fun. Apparently.

You wouldn't want to mess with these girls.

Esteban invites Natalia to come all the way from Madrid to Mexico City just to be with him but when she gets there he's off filming in the jungle leaving her to spend time with the girl-friends from hell. Artemio Narro's "I Stay With You" is a delicious and very nasty little thriller that could go any way. One minute it's "Heathers", the next it's "Thelma and Louise" and then it's torture porn but all the while feeling a true original.

Narro directs his mostly female cast brilliantly, (you really wouldn't want to mess with these girls), making this a chiller with as much brains as brawn. An unedited single take mid-way through is worth the price of admission alone in a movie shot mostly in single takes. Totally neglected, this has cult movie written all over it. It's funny and deeply disturbing in equal measure.
