Live from Cincinatti, OH

Your hosts are Vince McMahon & Jerry Lawler

Shawn Michaels Vs The 1-2-3 Kid (W/Ted Dibiase)

Shawn wins with Sweet Chin Music. When I saw this was opening the show, I got rather excited. It turns out, I had a reason to be. This is a really good T.V match that had a bit of everything. Expect a lot of aerial tactics and good wrestling.

***1/4

Goldust is on the old Piper's Pit set. He makes a lot of sexual references about Roddy Piper and talks about his films. I can't spoil it, but it must be heard to believe.

The Ultimate Warrior is officially making his return to the WWF at Wrestlemania 12. They show highlights from his career. It really shocked me that Vince showed Warrior defeating Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage at Wrestlemania 6 and 7 respectively because Hogan and Savage were in WCW at the time. Then again, the footage of Hogan and Savage wasn't very complimentary, so it made sense.

Justin "Hawk" Bradshaw (W/Zebekiah) Vs Hakushi

Justin Bradshaw is obviously, JBL. For those that still watch the WWE (I do) , Zebekiah is Zeb Colter. Bradshaw wins with a running lariat. This was pretty much a glorified squash match. Hakushi got in very little offense and he'd be on his way out of the WWF after this.

*

We get a vignette for Mankind.

Hunter Hearst Helmsley Vs Bret Hart

This is NOT for the WWF title. Man, there are so many jokes I could make about this match since Bret thinks pretty lowly of Hunter. During the match, Shawn Michaels comes down to ringside and sits on a chair to watch the match. Bret wins with the Sharpshooter. Nothing happens with Bret and Shawn. I'd say this match is average. Triple H didn't really breakout fully until 2000, and he was just getting warm at this juncture.

**

We get another Billionaire Ted Skit.

This episode is worth a watch just for the match between Shawn and The 1-2-3 Kid. Bret and Hunter is average at best and isn't really worth seeing. The biggest thing going on at this time was the impending return of the Ultimate Warrior.

Billionaire Ted?
clayface92 May 2020
The first match is Shawn Michaels versus the 1-2-3 Kid. We see Goldust on the set of Piper's Pit, without Roddy Piper. We see a package about the Ultimate Warrior returning. Hakushi faces Justin "Hawk" Bradshaw. We see a Mankind promo. The main event is Bret Hart versus Hunter Hearst Helmsley. The show ends with an episode of the game show Tee Vee Trivia with "Billionaire Ted". Pretty good episode.
