Guns kill. Guitars heal.

A documentary film based on the concept of "Guns kill. Guitars heal."

From the film:

"We have seen that politics divides people.

Progress also divides people. Someone is at the top. Someone at the bottom.

However, culture...various festivals...celebrations of any kind unites people. Culture unites."

"Anybody can shoot a gun and anybody can play the guitar"

It feels raw, as it should. It feels true, as it should. This wonderfully poised film shows that Northeast India has always used music as a major weapon in silencing the sound of guns. It has been subjected to some of the most atrocious violence India has ever seen (state sponsored and insurgent groups) but it still stands straight and tall on it's wounded feet. The passion they have shown for Bob Dylan has taken me over completely. All praise to the director Bidyut Kotoky . What a gem he has delivered. 🙏
