Hilarious and awesome ! ! !

Now this is a real I'ts always sunny in philadelphia episode. No retro crap or anything like that. It's all new and so funny. Couldn't stop laughing at one point.

I had low expectations going into this episode but dammit it's one of the best episodes out there when it comes to Sunny.

You have Mac and Dennis going totally crazy and this is what I want to see more out of. Just the gang going nuts.

This season did start off really weak but now this and the previous episode of season 11 is really good. And I have high hopes for the rest of the season now.

Easily one of, if not the, best episode of the series
chengiz25 August 2016
I grew up in a big city and couldn't tell you how many times this episode made me think of my experiences with small town/suburbs. They took these experiences to a surreally funny level, and it just totally worked because everything at the base of the idea was spot on. The only thing that is not great is the whole bet idea which should have been tighter given how great the rest of the writing is. There are some sight gags you'll miss because they don't draw your attention to it, so watch with peeled eyes. Recent seasons haven't been good, so I'm glad I didn't give up watching this series. Just a great episode, and one of the finest sitcom episodes of all time.

This episode reminds me of the suburban version of "The Shining".

Warning: Spoilers
Watching this made me think of Jack Nicholson and his wife Shelly Duvall. And the neighbor is the decaying nude lady. In the bathtub. Even some of the score had the eerie synthesizer playing.

This episode is purely fantastic. Glen Howerton cements his ability as a very fine actor. I would love to see him play a true villain in a movie. Guy is great as well as the rest of the crew. So much talent in one show. Love this episode.

Is that my smoke detector?

Warning: Spoilers
In the rewatch, its fun to watch dennis manipulate mac the entire episode about his smoke detector and him just observing how mac will handle the suburbs. Also stands out for just being very funny.

Funniest Sitcom Episode Ever

Warning: Spoilers
This one emphasizes my favorite part of Sunny, Dennis's rage. It's perfection. So many funny parts; the tv installation, the road rage, the poor pool guy, Wally, the mac n cheese plate toss, Dennis's fire poker meltdown, the dog, the piled up garbage & air fresheners & the storm of fists

Best It's Always Sunny Episode to date.
Okfreedom17 June 2020
Warning: Spoilers
It did kind of start off on a weak note but it picked up quickly and became the funniest episode in my opinion. Highlights include: * The montage set to CRAZY by Gnarls Barkley * "You ever been in a storm, Wally?" * Dennis JR * The Chirping smoke detector. * The loud pool filter. * ETC. * The "NEWSFLASH" scene. Enough said.

wow.

Warning: Spoilers
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia was never afraid to show how much of a crazy narcissistic lunatic each member of the gang was, but this episode was just something else.

This episode has Dennis and Mac at their most sociopathic. It starts off pretty normal, but as the episode progresses, we see one of the most PSYCHOTIC things to ever happen in this show. And quite frankly, I absolutely adore it.

Dennis has always shown big hits throughout the show of being a maniac, but it has never went as far as the episode took it. Mac feeding Dennis the dead dog he bought for the two of them with his 'famous' Mac & Cheese is still by far, the most VILE thing I have ever witness him do, and Dennis going into madness with him threatening the people causing the traffic, not being able to get enough sleep, and even 'attempting' to murder Wally is always something I remember fondly (even if it turned out not to be Wally). We of course can't forget one of the most iconic moments in the show, which is Dennis imagining himself stripping naked, and screaming at Wally.

This wouldn't be an It's Always Sunny episode if it wasn't filled with dark comedy, and boy is there a ton of them. The humor here is absolutely HILARIOUS. While it isn't the funniest episode the show has ever produced, the fact that this episode can still be dark, hysterical, extremely well-written, and entertaining at the same time makes it deserving of an emmy.

Overall, this episode is top tier, and shows how this show doesn't lose its creativity despite the fact that it has been airing for 11 years. If the show continued making episodes like these, I would enjoy them all the way and not get tired of them (but I like the fact that it's a one-time thing too). I would recommend this EASILY to anyone looking for dark humor at it's best, and those who absolutely loved the "Scott Tenorman Must Die" episode from South Park.

Dee I will slap kyou in the teeth
georgekobe2412 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Of course this is one of the greatest episodes of Sunny and maybe top 5 of all sitcoms , the storyline, the acting , the jokes. It is awesome

The gang really helped me so much at this tough time of my life , I am really greatful , I am at my 3rd rewatch and ths show always gets better.

I am at a phase that I really want to go home open my TV and see 10 episode at once . But the best line and funny thing abot this episode is at the beginning when the guys are searching for a new house to stay . Dennis saying at his sister : " Dee I will slap you in the teeth " . Like Cmon how can you say this ? Glenn Howerton respect my man.
